Hollywood Records has released a new soundtrack album for the Freeform original series Shadowhunters: The Mortal Instruments. The album features selections of the show’s original score composed by Trevor Morris (Immortals, Olympus/London Has Fallen, Vikings, The Borgias) and Jack Wall (Mass Effect, Call of Duty: Black Ops II). The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. The label has previously released a soundtrack EP, as well as several digital singles featuring songs from the series. Def Jam Recordings has released a soundtrack EP for the Netflix docu-series Rapture. The EP features six hip hop tracks from the show by G-Eazy, Dave East, T.I., Killer Mike & 3 Chainz and Logic. The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. Rapture also features Nas, Rapsody and Just Blaze and dives into the artists’ lives with their families and friends, to sitting front row in the studio and grinding on tour, to experiencing the ecstatic power of moving the crowd. The album features selections of the original music from the show’s second season composed by Emmy Award winner Jeff Russo (Fargo, The Night Of, Star Trek: Discovery, Snowfall, Counterpart, Power). The soundtrack will be released digitally on May 25, 2018 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Hildur Gudnadottir has been tapped to score the upcoming HBO and Sky mini-series Chernobyl. The show is created by Craig Mazin (The Hangover: Part II & III), directed by Johan Renck (Downloading Nancy) and stars Jared Harris, Stellan Skarsgard and Emily Watson. The 5-part drama centers on the 1986 nuclear disaster that triggered the evacuation of a Ukranian city from the perspectives of Valery Legasov, the Soviet scientist chosen by the Kremlin to investigate the accident and Boris Shcherbina, the man responsible for leading the USSR government commission in the wake of the disaster.
