Jeff Russo (Fargo, Star Trek: Discovery/Picard, Legion, Lucy in the Sky, The Night Of, For All Mankind, Love & Death) has composed the original music for the upcoming biographical drama Rob Peace. The film marks actor Chiwetel Ejiofor’s second feature directorial effort (following 2019’s The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind) and stars Jay Will, Mary J. Blige, Ejiofor himself, Camila Cabello, Mare Winningham and Michael Kelly. The movie is based on Jeff Hobbs’ bestselling biography and tells the story of a young man who grew up in an impoverished section of Newark, NJ and later graduated from Yale before leading a dual life in academia and research while also earning six figures selling marijuana.

Soundtrack Album for ‘The Boy Harnessed the Wind’ to Be Released
Lakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album for the Netflix original movie The Boy Harnessed the Wind. The album features the film’s original music composed by Antonio Pinto (City of God, McFarland, USA, Lord of War, Amy, Self/less), as well as the end credits song Lelo Ndakwanitsa written & performed by the composer and Lily Banda. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, March 8 and will be available to download here. The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind marks the feature directorial debut of Chiwetel Ejiofor who also stars in the drama with Maxwell Simba, Aïssa Maïga, Lily Banda, Lemogang Tsipa, Philbert Falakeza, Joseph Marcell and Noma Dumezweni. The movie is inspired by a true story and follows a 13-year-old boy who – inspired by a science book – builds a wind turbine to save his Malawian village from famine.

The film marks the feature directorial debut of actor Chiwetel Ejiofor who also stars in the movie alongside Maxwell Simba, Aïssa Maïga, Lily Banda, Lemogang Tsipa, Philbert Falakeza, Joseph Marcell and Noma Dumezweni. The movie is based on the book of the same title written by William Kamkwamba & Bryan Mealer and tells the story of a 13-year-old boy who helps his village by building a wind turbine after reading about them in a library book. Ejifor also wrote the screenplay.
