Henry Jackman has been tapped to score the live-action adaptation of Pokémon: Detective Pikachu. The film is directed by Rob Letterman (Goosebumps) and stars Ryan Reynolds as the voice of the title character, alongside Justice Smith, Kathryn Newton, Ken Watanabe, Justice Smith, Kathryn Newton, Bill Nighy, Chris Geere, Rita Ora and Suki Waterhouse. The movie is based on the Pokémon franchise and follows a teen who teams with Pikachu in order to find his missing father. Varese Sarabande has announced the latest titles in its CD Club series, including a deluxe edition soundtrack for the 1979 horror movie Dracula directed by John Badham and starring Frank Langella, Laurence Olivier, Donald Pleasence and Kate Nelligan. The album features the expanded original score from the film composed and conducted by John Williams (Star Wars, Jaws, Raider of the Lost Ark, E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial, Schindler’s List), including over half an hour of previously unreleased music, as well as a newly-mastered presentation of the originally soundtrack album.
