Zentropa Music has released a soundtrack album for Hans Petter Moland’s Norwegian drama Out Stealing Horses (Ut Og Stjæle Hester). The album features the film’s original music composed by Kaspar Kaae who previously scored the director’s feature Kraftidioten. The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. Out Stealing Horses is written and directed by Moland (Cold Pursuit) and stars Stellan Skarsgård, Bjørn Floberg, Tobias Santelmann, Jon Ranes and Danica Curcic. The movie is based on the novel by Per Petterson and follows a grieving widower who moved to a remote house in the forest when he encounters a neighbor whom he met during a fateful summer in the past. Premiering tonight is the HBO original documentary Leaving Neverland directed by Dan Reed about Michael Jackson’s long-running relationships with two boys, aged 7 and 10, and their families. The 2-parter’s original music is composed by Chad Hobson (Adulthood, Sket, Offender, Path of Blood). The documentary premiered at this year’s Sundance Film Festival and is premiering in two parts tonight and tomorrow on HBO. Visit the official movie website for more information.
Premiering on Friday, March 8, is the Netflix original movie Juanita directed by Clark Johnson and starring Alfre Woodard, Adam Beach, Blair Underwood and LaTanya Richardson Jackson. The movie, which follows a mother of three grown children as she searches for hope and healing on an impromptu trip to Paper Moon, Montana, will be available to stream exclusively on Netflix. Two new movies are opening nationwide this weekend:
Opening in most theaters is the comedy A Madea Family Funeral written, directed and produced by Tyler Perry who also stars in the movie with Cassi Davis and Patrice Lovely. Philip White (Boo 2! A Madea Halloween, Nobody’s Fool) has composed the film’s original score and Christopher Lennertz (Ride Along, Horrible Bosses, Lost in Space, Baywatch) has written the themes. Also opening wide is the psychological thriller Greta directed by Neil Jordan and starring Isabelle Huppert, Chloë Grace Moretz, Maika Monroe, Colm Feore and Stephen Rea.
