Plaza Mayor Company has released a soundtrack album for the French Apple TV original series The Hunt (Traqués). The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Eric Neveux (Zombillennium, Intimacy, The Attack, The Illegal, Black Diamond, A Stork’s Journey, Poly, SamSam). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and most other major digital music services. Also listen to the composer’s main titles and title track after the jump. The Hunt is created and directed by Cédric Anger and stars Benoît Magimel, Mélanie Laurent, Damien Bonnard, Cédric Appietto, Manuel Guillot and Frédéric Maranber. The 6-part thriller follows a group of long time friends who enjoy spending their weekends hunting together, when they come across another group of hunters who start targeting them without explanation.

Three new movies are opening in theaters nationwide this weekend:
Opening in most theaters is the faith-based drama I Still Believe directed by Jon & Andrew Erwin and also stars KJ Apa, Britt Robertson, Shania Twain and Gary Sinise. The film’s original score is composed by John Debney (The Passion of the Christ, The Jungle Book, Elf, Iron Man 2, Hocus Pocus). Capitol Records has released a soundtrack album featuring five tracks from the composer’s score, as well as the Jeremy Camp songs from the movie performed by Apa, as well as other tracks by Apa. Back Lot Music will release the official soundtrack album for the thriller The Hunt. The album features the film’s original music composed by Emmy Award nominee Nathan Barr (True Blood, The Americans, The House with a Clock in Its Walls, Hostel, Cabin Fever, Carnival Row). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, March 13 and will be available to stream/download here. The Hunt is directed by Craig Zobel, written by Damon Lindelof & Nick Cuse and stars Betty Gilpin, Ike Barinholtz, Emma Roberts, Hilary Swank, Glenn Howerton, Amy Madigan and Ethan Suplee. The Blumhouse production centers on twelve strangers who wake up in a clearing and don’t know where they are, or how they got there.

Nathan Barr (True Blood, The Americans, The House with a Clock in Its Walls, Hostel, Cabin Fever) is currently scoring the upcoming thriller The Hunt. The film is directed by Craig Zobel (Compliance, Z for Zachariah) and stars Betty Gilpin, Hilary Swank, Emma Roberts, Justin Hartley, Glenn Howerton, Ike Barinholtz and Amy Madigan. The movie follows a bunch of elites who gather for the very first time at a remote Manor House to hunt humans for sport. Damon Lindelof (Lost, Prometheus, The Leftovers) and Nick Cuse wrote the screenplay.
Heather McIntosh Scoring Craig Zobel’s ‘The Hunt’
Composer Heather McIntosh is reuniting with director Craig Zobel on the upcoming political thriller The Hunt. The film’s cast includes Emma Roberts, Justin Hartley, Glenn Howerton, Ike Barinholtz, Betty Gilpin and Amy Madigan. No plot details have been announced yet for the movie, which will explore escalating aggressiveness between the political right and left in America. Damon Lindelof (Lost, Prometheus, The Leftovers) and Nick Cuse wrote the screenplay. Lindelof is also producing the project with Jason Blum (Get Out, Paranormal Activity, Insidious) for Blumhouse.
Cristobal Tapia de Veer to Score Amazon’s ‘The Hunt’
Cristobal Tapia de Veer (Utopia, The Girl with All the Gifts, Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency, National Treasure) has signed on to score the upcoming Amazon original series The Hunt. The show is created by David Weil and stars Al Pacino, Logan Lerman, Jerrika Hinton, Lena Olin, Carol Kane, Saul Rubinek, Tiffany Boone, Louis Ozawa Changchien, Greg Austin, and Dylan Baker. The drama follows a diverse band of Nazi hunters living in 1977 New York City who have discovered that hundreds of high-ranking Nazi officials are living among us and conspiring to create a Fourth Reich in the U.S.

Premiering in the U.S. tonight is the BBC natural history documentary The Hunt executive produced by Alastair Fothergill, produced by Huw Cordey and narrated Sir David Attenborough. The show’s original music is composed by Steven Price (Gravity, Suicide Squad, Fury, Attack the Block, At World’s End) who received the BAFTA TV Craft Award for his work on the series earlier this year. Silva Screen Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score overseas last year. The domestic album release is set for July 8. Steven Price Wins BAFTA TV Craft Award for ‘The Hunt’
Steven Price won his first BAFTA TV Craft Award today for his music for the BBC documentary The Hunt. The Academy Award-wining composer who recorded his score with the BBC Concert Orchestra accepted his award in person at the ceremony in London. Price’s score for the natural history docu-series is available on Sony Music. The other nominees in the category were Anne Dudley for Poldark, Ben Foster & Nick Foster for Thunderbirds Are Go! and Olafur Arnalds for Broadchurch. For the full list of winners, click here.
Soundtrack for BBC’s ‘The Hunt’ Announced
Sony Music has announced a soundtrack album for the BBC natural history documentary The Hunt. The album features the series’ original music composed by Academy Award winner Steven Price (Gravity, Fury, The World’s End, Attack the Block) performed by the BBC Concert Orchestra under conductor, Geoffrey Alexander. The soundtrack will be released overseas on November 13, 2015 and is now available as an import on Amazon. The Hunt is executive produced by Alastair Fothergill (Blue Planet, Frozen Earth, Planet Earth), produced by Huw Cordey (Planet Earth, South Pacific) and centers on the relationship between predators and their prey. The 7-part series is narrated by Sir David Attenborough and features rarely seen animal behaviour including killer whales hunting humpback whales in tropical waters.

Opening in the US and select international territories is the sci-fi action monster movie Pacific Rim directed by Guillermo del Toro and starring Charlie Hunnam, Idris Elba, Charlie Day, Rinko Kikuchi and Ron Perlman. The film’s music is composed by Ramin Djawadi (Iron Man, Game of Thrones, Clash of the Titans). WaterTower Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s music, which also features former Rage Against the Machine guitarist Tom Morello and singer Priscilla as soloists.
