  1. Macejko says:

Can’t wait for this. Djawadi is perfectly suited for big and epic projects like this.

    • Ciccio says:

Djawadi is not even a composer… Worst choice ever!

      • Macejko says:

I bet you are one of those who like Beltrami, Tyler and other boring assholes.

        • Lee says:

Marco Beltrami is not boring. Listen to his Scream Scores, his Terminator 3 Score, and his sensational Soul Surfer Score. If you still say he’s boring, then you clearly are lying.

        • David says:

Calling Tyler and Beltrami assholes and boring shows that you’re a moron.

          • Charlie, Last Name Wilson says:

Marco is boring, stale and soulless. it’s a fact.

  2. Yahzee says:

… sometimes Djawadi gets the job done, sometimes he doesn’t. I still would’ve liked if del Toro teamed up with Beltrami again.

  3. ed says:

Djawadi never did it for me – He sounds lke a poor man’s Zimmer. (His ‘Iron Man’ score was an abomination). The thought of Ramin’s noise fused with Tom Morello’s guitar just doesn’t bare thinking about. After his experience with popcorn cinema on ‘Wrath Of The Titans’, Javier Naverette would have also been a good choice.

    • Macejko says:

Have you ever heard his Game of Thrones?

      • ed says:

It just does nothing for me. It has it’s moments, but far from memorable. Look through the man’s filmography: there is not one single score that i can say stands out. Maybe, one day, he will find his feet, and deliver something memorable. It is probably the curse of Zimmer’s ‘Remote Control’ that holds him back from his true aesthetic; the same applies to Steve Jablonsky.

        • Macejko says:

Ok, I respect your opinion. I do not agree with it, but I respect it.

        • David says:

Just because it’s not memorable to you, it doesn’t mean that it’s not for everybody else. Check how many versions are of his theme for Game Of Thrones and Prison Break in Youtube. Or Mhysa, from the third season.

And Guillermo Del Toro is a guy with great taste in music, so if he hired him, it’s for something. So, don’t bash him if you haven’t listened to Pacific Rim.

  4. Do you know if any of the music in the trailers is going to be used in the movie?
