Milan Records has released the first soundtrack album for the Cinemax original series Warrior. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Reza Safinia (Filly Brown, The Trust) & H. Scott Salinas (A Private War, Cartel Land, The Ballad of Lefty Brown) who previously co-scored the movie Birth of the Dragon. Also included are hip hop tracks by Dwagie, Ozi, SmashRegz, RA & others. The label has previously released Safinia’s & Salinas’ main titles theme as a digital single last month. Variety is reporting that Grammy Award winner Harvey Mason Jr. is composing the music for the upcoming animated musical feature Ladybug & Cat Noir Awakening. The film directed by Jeremy Zag is based on his Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir TV series (which aired in the U.S. on Nickelodeon) and follows two Parisian teens who transform into the Ladybug and Cat Noir superheroes. The album features selections of the show’s eight and final season composed by Ramin Djawadi (Pacific Rim, Iron Man, Westworld, A Wrinkle in Time, Clash of the Titans) who received his first Emmy Award for his work on the drama last year. Premiering on Tuesday, May 21, is the new CBS drama Blood & Treasure created by Matt Federman & Stephen Scaia and starring Matt Barr, Sofia Pernas, Michael James Shaw, Katia Winter, Oded Fehr, Alicia Coppola, James Callis and Mark Gagliardi. The show’s original music is composed by Kyle Newmaster (The Myth of the American Sleepover, Where Hope Grows, Something Wicked). Three new movies are opening nationwide this weekend:
Opening in most theaters is the action sequel John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum directed by Chad Stahelski and starring Keanu Reeves, Halle Berry, Laurence Fishburne, Mark Dacascos, Anjelica Huston, Jason Mantzoukas and Ian McShane. The film’s original music is composed by Tyler Bates (Guardians of the Galaxy, Deadpool 2, 300, Watchmen, The Punisher) & Joel J. Richard (John Wick 1 & 2).
