Premiering tomorrow, February 3 is the Spectrum Originals series Manhunt: Deadly Games created by Andrew Sodroski and starring Cameron Britton, Jack Huston, Gethin Anthony, Carla Gugino, Arliss Howard, Kelly Jenrette and Judith Light. The show’s original music is composed by Harry Gregson-Williams (The Chronicles of Narnia, Shrek, The Martian) and Stephanie Economou (Step Up: High Water). Also premiering tomorrow is the HBO docu-series McMillions directed by James Lee Hernandez & Brian Lazarte and executive produced by Mark Wahlberg. Pinar Toprak (Captain Marvel, Krypton, Stargirl, The Angel) has composed the show’s original music. The 6-parter, which centers on the con that allowed one man to rig the results of McDonald’s popular Monopoly game for an entire decade, will air every Monday night on HBO. ‘Star Trek: Picard’ Season 1 – Chapter 1 Soundtrack Details

Lakeshore Records will release the first soundtrack album for the CBS All Access original series Star Trek: Picard. The album features selections of the original music from the first part of the show’s first season composed by Emmy Award winner Jeff Russo (Star Trek: Discovery, Fargo, The Night Of, Legion, The Umbrella Academy), including the composer’s end title theme. Also featured are two tracks from Russo’s score for the Short Treks episode Children of Mars. The soundtrack will be released digitally on February 7 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Star Trek: Picard is created by Alex Kurtzman, Kirsten Beyer, Akiva Goldsman & Michael Chabon and stars Patrick Stewart, Santiago Cabrera, Michelle Hurd, Alison Pill, Harry Treadaway, Isa Briones and Evan Evagora. Two new movies are opening in theaters nationwide this week:

Opening in most theaters is the thriller The Rhythm Section directed by Reed Morano and starring Blake Lively, Jude Law and Sterling K. Brown. The film’s original score is composed by Steve Mazzaro (The Boss Baby, Bullet to the Head, Ice Box) and produced by Hans Zimmer (The Dark Knight, The Lion King, Inception). Lisa Gerrard (Gladiator, Whale Rider) provided additional music. No soundtrack album has been released. Check out our previous article to learn more about the Paramount Pictures release.

Also opening wide is the fantasy horror movie Gretel & Hansel directed by Osgood Perkins and stars Sophia Lillis, Sammy Leakey, Charles Babalola, Alice Krige and Jessica De Gouw. Rob (Maniac, Revenge, Horns, Troy: Fall of a City, Planetarium) has composed the film’s original music. Waxwork Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score. Nima Fakhrara (The Signal, Detroit: Become Human, The Pyramid, The Girl in the Photographs) has been hired to score the upcoming action thriller Becky. The film is directed by Jonathan Milott & Cary Murnion (Bushwick, Cooties) and stars Kevin James, Lulu Wilson, Joel McHale, Amanda Brugel and Robert Maillet. The movie follows a spunky, rebellious 14-year-old brought to a weekend getaway by her father in an effort to try to reconnect after her mother’s death, when a group of convicts on the run suddenly invade the lake house. ‘SamSam’ Soundtrack Released

22D Music has released a soundtrack album for the animated feature SamSam. The album features the film’s original music composed by Eric Neveux (The Insult, The Attack, A Stork’s Journey, Zombillennium, Spirou & Fantasio’s Big Adventures). Also included is the original song Cosmic Groove written by Benny Adam & John Mamann and performed by Lucie Vagenheim. The soundtrack is now available to download/stream on Amazon, where you can also check out the full track list and listen to audio samples. A CD version is also being released overseas. SamSam directed by Tanguy De Kermel is based on the comic books of the same title created by Serge Bloch and the animated TV series of the same title and follows the title character as he is conscientiously seeking his first-ever superpower but is winding up empty-handed every time. The show is written by Dahvi Waller (Mad Men) and stars Cate Blanchett, Rose Byrne, Sarah Paulson, Margo Martindale, Uzo Aduba, Elizabeth Banks and Tracey Ullman. Back Lot Music will release a soundtrack album for the fantasy adventure Dragonheart: Vengeance. The album features the film’s orginal music composed by Mark McKenzie (The Greatest Miracle, Blizzard, The Ultimate Gift) who has previously scored the last three Dragonheart movies, A New Beginning, A Sorcerer’s Curse and Battle for the Heartfire. The soundtrack will be released digitally on February 4 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. A CD version will be released by Intrada Records. Dragonheart: Vengeance is directed by Ivan Silvestini and stars Joseph Millson, Jack Kane, Arturo Muselli, Carolina Carlsson and Richard Ashton, as well as Helena Bonham Carter as the ice breathing dragon Siveth.
