Republic Records has announced the details of the soundtrack album for the musical comedy drama The High Note. The album features the songs from the movie performed by actors Tracee Ellis Ross and Kelvin Harrison Jr, as well tracks by Donny Hathaway, Maxine Brown, Aretha Franklin and Anthony Ramos . Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins is producing the soundtrack, which will be released digitally on May 29 and will be available to stream/download here. As previously reported, the first track, Love Myself performed by Ross, is already available as a digital single. David Buckley to Score Ilya Naishuller’s ‘Nobody’

David Buckley (The Good Wife, Papillon, Angel Has Fallen, The Forbidden Kingdom, The Stranger) has been hired to score the upcoming action thriller Nobody. The film is directed by Ilya Naishuller (Hardcore Henry) and stars Bob Odenkirk, Gage Munroe, Connie Nielsen, Christopher Lloyd and RZA. The movie revolves around a bystander who intervenes to help a woman being harassed by a group of men becomes the target of a vengeful drug lord. Derek Kolstad (John Wick) wrote the screenplay. Kelly McCormick (Atomic Blonde, How It Ends) and David Leitch (Deadpool 2, Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw) are producing the project for 87North, alongside Braden Aftergood (Siberia) for Eighty Two Films, as well as Odenkirk and Marc Provissiero (PEN15, Paradise PD). WaterTower Music has released a new soundtrack EP for the CW drama Riverdale. The 5-track EP features a selection of songs from the show’s fourth season performed by cast members including Camila Mendes, Ashleigh Murray, KJ App, Casey Cott, Madelaine Petsch and Vanessa Morgan. Young Turks Recordings has released a soundtrack album for the Netflix documentary Becoming. The album features the film’s original music composed by jazz saxophonist Kamasi Washington. Becoming is is directed by Nadia Hallgren and offers a look into the life of former First Lady Michelle Obama during a moment of profound change, not only for her personally but for the country she and her husband served over eight impactful years in the White House. Opening on VOD today is the animated feature Scoob! directed by Tony Cervone and starring Zac Efron, Frank Welker, Gina Rodriguez, Amanda Seyfried, Will Forte, Mark Wahlberg, Ken Jeong, Kiersey Clemons and Jason Isaacs. The film’s original score is composed by Tom Holkenborg (aka Junkie XL) (Mad Max: Fury Road, Deadpool, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Alita: Battle Angel). Atlantic Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the songs from the movie by artists such as Thomas Rhett & Kane Brown feat. Ava Max, Jack Harlow, Pink Sweat$, R3HAB, among others. Quartet Records has announced the world premiere soundtrack release for the 1983 comedy Mr. Mom directed by Stan Dragoti, written by John Hughes and starring Michael Keaton, Teri Garr, Jeffrey Tambor, Ann Jillian, Christopher Lloyd and Martin Mull. The album features the original score from the movie composed and conducted by Lee Holdridge (Splash, The Mists of Avalon, The Beastmaster, Old Gringo, Oliver’s Story). The CD, which is limited to 1,000 copies, is now available to order on the label’s official website, where you can also check out audio samples and for more details about the release. Tom Holkenborg (aka Junkie XL) has confirmed at a Reddit AMA today that he is reuniting with director Zack Snyder on the upcoming Netflix original film Army of the Dead. The film starring Dave Bautista, Ella Purnell, Ana de la Reguera, Theo Rossi, Chris D’Elia, Huma Qureshi, Garret Dillahunt, Raúl Castillo, Omari Hardwick, Hiroyuki Sanada and Matthias Schweighöfer takes place following a zombie outbreak in Las Vegas, when a group of mercenaries take the ultimate gamble, venturing into the quarantine zone to pull off the greatest heist ever attempted.
