Silva Screen Records has announced a soundtrack album for the BBC drama The Capture. The album features selections of the original music from the show’s first season composed by Blur drummer Dave Rowntree and Ian Arber (Medici, My Name Is Lenny, After the Screaming Stops). The soundtrack will be released digitally on November 20 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and other digital music stores. The Capture is written and directed by Ben Chanan and stars Callum Turner, Holliday Grainger, Ron Perlman, Famke Janssen, Ben Miles, Ralph Ineson, Paul Ritter, Lia Williams and Laura Haddock. Grammy Award-winning singer/songwriter and guitarist Keb’ Mo’ has recorded the main title song for the new CBS comedy B Positive created by Marco Pennette (Desperate Housewives, Ugly Betty), executive produced by Chuck Lorre (The Big Bang Theory, The Kominsky Method) and stars Thomas Middleditch, Annaleigh Ashford, Kether Donohue, Sara Rue, Izzy G and Terrence Terrell. He also co-wrote the track with Lorre. The show’s original score is composed by Dennis C. Brown & Grant Geissman who previously collaborated with Lorre on such shows as Two and a Half Men, Dharma & Greg and Mike & Molly. The series revolves around a therapist and newly divorced dad who is faced with finding a kidney donor when he runs into a rough-around-the-edges woman from his past who volunteers her own. Silva Screen Records has announced the second volume of the concept album The Musical Anthology of His Dark Materials as an introduction to the second season of the HBO/BBC fantasy series His Dark Materials. The album features the newly composed principal themes from Series Two by the show’s composer Lorne Balfe (Mission: Impossible – Fallout, The LEGO Batman Movie, Home, Bad Boys for Life, The Crown, Genius). The soundtrack will be released digitally this Sunday, November 8 and will be available to stream/download here. The label has previously released the first volume of the concept album before the Season 1 premiere and a full separate album featuring Balfe’s score from the first season last December.
