Premiering tonight is the Showtime docu-series The Reagans directed and executive produced by Matt Tyrnauer about the rise and reign of America’s ultimate power couple, Ronald & Nancy Reagan. The show’s original music is composed by Lorne Balfe (Mission: Impossible – FalloutThe LEGO Batman Movie, His Dark Materials, The Crown, Home, Bad Boys for Life) who previously scored Tyrnauer’s features Studio 54 and Where’s My Roy Cohn?. Premiering on Wednesday, November 18, is the documentary Crazy, Not Insane directed and produced by Alex Gibney about Dr. Dorothy Otnow Lewis, a psychiatrist who has dedicated her career to studying murderers and seeking answers as to why people kill. Will Bates (Unbelievable, Away, I OriginsThe MagiciansThe Looming TowerNightflyers) who has previously scored numerous of Gibney’s documentaries has composed the film’s original music. The movie, which premiered at this year’s Copenhagen International Documentary Festival and also screened at the 2020 Venice Film Festival will debut in the U.S. exclusively on HBO and HBO Max. Alex Geringas is the composer of DreamWorks Animation’s new Peacock and Hulu original series TrollsTopia. The show is inspired by the studio’s Trolls feature films (scored by Christophe Beck & Theodore Shapiro) and features the voices of Skylar Astin, Amanda Leighton, David Flynn, Ron Funches, Kenan Thompson, Megan Hilty, Jeanine Mason, Kat Graham and Kevin Michael Richardson. The series follows Poppy as she bottles up her endless positivity and invites delegates from every Troll tribe in the forest to live together in harmony in a grand experiment she calls TrollsTopia. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Rutger Hoedemaekers (Trapped, The Last Berliner). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and other digital music stores. No Man’s Land is created Maria Feldman, Eitan Mansuri, Amit Cohen & Ron Leshem and stars Félix Moati, Mélanie Thierry, Souheila Yacoub, Joe Ben Ayed, James Floyd, Dean Ridge and James Purefoy. The 8-part drama directed by Oded Ruskin is set against the backdrop of the Syrian War and follows a young French man who, while unraveling the mystery of his estranged, presumed to be dead sister, ends up joining forces with a unit of Kurdish female fighters and travels with them in ISIS occupied territory. The only movie opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the horror comedy Freaky co-written and directed by Christopher Landon and starring Kathryn Newton, Vince Vaughn, Celeste O’Connor, Katie Finneran, Dana Drori, Misha Osherovich, Uriah Shelton and Alan Ruck. The film’s original music is composed by Bear McCreary (Godzilla: King of the Monsters10 Cloverfield Lane, Happy Death Day,  OutlanderBattlestar Galactica). Back Lot Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score today. Opening in select theaters today is the comdedy The Climb co-written and directed by Michael Angelo Covino and starring Covino himself, alongside Kyle Marvin, Gayle Rankin, Talia Balsam, George Wendt and Judith Godréche. Jon Natchez & Martin Mabz have composed the film’s original score. No soundtrack album has been announced. The movie, which follows two lifelong friends who are out for a bike ride through the mountains in the South of France when one of them confesses that he slept with the other’s fiancé premiered at last year’s Cannes Film Festival and is being released stateside by Sony Pictures Classics. MovieScore Media has released the first-ever soundtrack album for the ITV series Agatha Christie’s Marple based on books and short stories by Agatha Christie and starring Geraldine McEwan (seasons 1-3) and Julia McKenzie (seasons 4-6) in the title role. The album features selections of the show’s score composed by Emmy Award nominee Dominik Scherrer (The Missing, Ripper StreetRequiemThe Widow, The City and the City, Primeval), as well as the composer’s Agatha Christie’s Marple theme. The full details of the soundtrack album for the Netflix original film Jingle Jangle: A Christmas Journey have been revealed. The album features the songs from the musical performed by Usher feat. Kiana Ledé, Ricky Martin, Marisha Wallace, as well as the movie’s cast. Also included is a score suite by the film’s composer John Debney (The Passion of the Christ, The Jungle Book, Elf). Harvey Mason Jr. serves as the project’s executive music producer. The soundtrack is being released by Atlantic Records today and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and other digital music stores. Jingle Jangle: A Christmas Journey is directed by David E. Talbert and stars Forest Whitaker, Keegan-Michael Key, Anika Noni Rose, Phylicia Rashad, Hugh Bonneville and Madalen Mills. The movie follows a once-joyful toymaker who – decades after his trusted apprentice betrayed him –  finds new hope when his kind and curious granddaughter comes into his life.
