Opening in select theaters today is the comdedy The Climb co-written and directed by Michael Angelo Covino and starring Covino himself, alongside Kyle Marvin, Gayle Rankin, Talia Balsam, George Wendt and Judith Godréche. Jon Natchez & Martin Mabz have composed the film’s original score. No soundtrack album has been announced. The movie, which follows two lifelong friends who are out for a bike ride through the mountains in the South of France when one of them confesses that he slept with the other’s fiancé premiered at last year’s Cannes Film Festival and is being released stateside by Sony Pictures Classics.

Opening in select theaters today before premiering on December 4 on VOD is the drama Ammonite written and directed by Francis Lee and starring Kate Winslet, Saoirse Ronan, Gemma Jones, Alec Secareanu, James McArdle and Fiona Shaw. The film’s original music is composed by Dustin O’Halloran Volker Bertelmann (aka Hauschka) (LionThe Old GuardThe Art of Racing in the Rain). Also opening in select theaters today before premiering on Apple TV+ on December 11 is the animated feature Wolfwalkers directed by Tomm Moore & Ross Stewart and written by Will Collins. Bruno Coulais (CoralineThe Chorus, The Secret of Kells, The Crimson Rivers, Winged Migration) and Kila. have composed the film’s original music. 22D Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composers’ score, as well as AURORA’s new version of Running with the Wolves as featured in the movie. Opening in select cities today (and expanding to more markets next Friday, November 20) before premiering on Netflix on December 4 is the drama Mank directed by David Fincher and starring Gary Oldman, Amanda Seyfried, Charles Dance, Lily Collins, Arliss Howard, Tom Pelphrey, Sam Troughton and Ferdinand Kingsley. The film’s original music is composed by Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross (The Social NetworkWatchmenGone Girl, Soul, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo). The movie, which follows a man who leaves school in mounting debt and is pulled into a criminal operation made up of rebellious college graduates who steal from the rich and give back to themselves, is being distributed by Saban Films.

Also opening in select U.S. theaters is the British drama Make Up written and directed by Claire Oakley and starring Molly Windsor, Joseph Quinn, Stefanie Martini, Theo Barklem-Biggs and Lisa Palfrey.
