Silva Screen Records will release a soundtrack album for the British series Grantchester. The album features the show’s original music composed by Emmy Award winner John Lunn (Downton Abbey, The White Queen). Also included are songs by Louis Armstrong, Sidney Bechet and Gloria Dee. The show is based on the book series The Grantchester Mysteries by James Runcie and follows a charismatic young clergyman and a down-to-earth cop who team up to fight crime in 1953’s Grantchester.

Stephen Warbeck Scoring ‘Indian Summers’
Stephen Warbeck is composing the music for PBS’ and Channel 4’s upcoming mini-series Indian Summers. The epic drama is created and written by Paul Rutman (Vera) and stars Julie Walters, Henry Lloyd-Hughes, Jemima West, Nikesh Patel, Roshan Seth, Lillete Dubey, Alexander Cobb, Craig Parkinson, Fiona Glascott, Amber Rose Revah, Aysha Kala, Olivia Grant and Edward Hogg. The 10-parter directed by Anand Tucker (Hilary and Jackie, Shopgirl, Leap Year) tells the story of the decline of the British Empire and the birth of modern India, from both sides of the experience. Simon Curtis (My Week with Marilyn) is executive producing the project with Charlie Pattinson (Shameless, Skins), Elaine Pyke (Strike Back) and Rebecca Eato.

Premiering tonight in the U.S. is the second part of the Worricker trilogy, Turks & Caicos directed by David Hare and starring Bill Nighy as MI5 spy Johnny Worricker, alongside Christopher Walken, Winona Ryder, Helena Bonham Carter and Ralph Fiennes. The film’s original music is composed by Paul Englishby (An Englishby, Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day) who previously scored Hare’s Page Eight. The composer also scored the final part in the trilogy, Salting the Battlefield. The show’s original music is composed by Academy Award winner Anne Dudley (The Full Monty, American History X, Black Box). Breathless follows a group of doctors and nurses in a hospital in 1960s London. The series premiered last fall in the UK on ITV and will air in the US Sunday nights on PBS. ‘Sherlock’ – Season 3 Soundtrack Announced
Silva Screen Records has announced a new soundtrack album for the BBC hit series Sherlock. The album features selections from score of the show’s third season composed by David Arnold (Independence Day, Casino Royale) and Michael Price. The label has previously released soundtrack albums for the first two seasons. Sherlockcreated by Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss is a contemporary update of the classic detective stories and stars Benedict Cumberbatch as Holmes and Martin Freeman as Doctor John Watson. The third season of the series will premiere in the UK on January 1 on BBC and in the U.S. on January 19, 2014 on PBS.

Brian Tyler (Iron Man 3, Fast Five, Now You See Me) is composing the score for the series, which is based on The Legend Of Sleepy Hollow and follows Ichabod Crane as he partners with Sleepy Hollow’s Detective Abbie Archer to solve the mysteries of a town ravaged by the battle between good and evil.
