Premiering tonight is the new ABC drama Quantico created by Joshua Safran and starring Priyanka Chopra, Jake McLaughlin, Aunjanue Ellis, Yasmine Al Massri, Johanna Braddy, Tate Ellington and Graham Rogers. The show’s original music is composed by Joel J. Richard (John Wick, The Andromeda Strain, Ravenswood). Premiering tonight on PBS is the mini-series Arthur & George directed by Stuart Orme, executive produced by Rebecca Eaton, written by Ed Whitmore and starring Martin Clunes, Arsher Ali, Art Malik, Emma Fielding, Charles Edwards and Hattie Morahan. The 3-parter’s original music is composed by Rob Lane (The Damned United, Merlin, John Adams). Arthur & George is based on the novel by Julian Barnes and follows world-famous author Sir Arthur Conan Doyle as he works on case revolving around a half-Indian son of a vicar who is framed for a crime he may or may not have committed. David Buckley to Score PBS’ ‘Mercy Street’
David Buckley is set to compose the music for the upcoming PBS original mini-series Mercy Street. The 6-parter is created by Lisa Q. Wolfinger & David Zabel (ER) and stars Josh Radnor, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Gary Cole, Peter Gerety, Norbert Leo Butz, AnnaSophia Robb and Cherry Jones. The series follows the lives of two volunteer nurses on opposing sides of the Civil War – New England abolitionist Mary Phinney and Confederate supporter Emma Green. Wolfinger and Zabel are also executive producing the project with Ridley Scott (Gladiator, Thelma & Louise, Alien) and David W. Zucker (The Pillars of the Earth, Numb3rs) of Scott Free Productions.

Premiering tonight is the HBO original series The Brink created by Kim & Roberto Benabib and starring Jack Black, Tim Robbins, Pablo Schreiber, Aasif Mandvi, Maribeth Monroe, Eric Ladin, Esai Morales and Geoff Pierson. David Robbins (Dead Man Walking, Welcome to Me, Bob Roberts) has composed the show’s original music. The show doesn’t feature an original score. Scott Vener (Entourage) serves as the project’s music supervisor. Ballers follows a former football superstar who gets his life on track in retirement, while mentoring other current and former players on the business of football. ‘Indian Summers’ Soundtrack Announced
Silva Screen Records will release a soundtrack album for PBS’ and Channel 4’s mini-series Indian Summers. The album features selections from the 10-parter’s original music written by Academy Award-winning composer Stephen Warbeck (Shakespeare in Love, Quills, Billy Elliot, Captain Corelli’s Mandolin). Indian Summers is created and written by Paul Rutman, directed by Anand Tucker and stars Julie Walters, Henry Lloyd-Hughes, Jemima West, Nikesh Patel, Roshan Seth, Lillete Dubey, Alexander Cobb, Craig Parkinson, Fiona Glascott, Amber Rose Revah, Aysha Kala, Olivia Grant and Edward Hogg. The series tells the story of the decline of the British Empire and the birth of modern India, from both sides of the experience.
‘Poldark’ Soundtrack Announced
Sony Classical will release a soundtrack album for the BBC series Poldark. The album features selections from the show’s original music written by Academy Award-winning composer Anne Dudley (The Full Monty, Black Book, American History X). The soundtrack will be released overseas on May 11, 2015 and in the U.S. on June 8. Visit Amazon to pre-order the CD. Poldark is created by Debbie Horsefield and stars Aidan Turner, Eleanor Tomlinson, Ruby Bentall, Beatie Edney, Jack Farthing and Heida Reed. The show based on the novels by Winston Graham centers on Ross Poldark, a redcoat who returns to Cornwall after the American Revolutionary War to discover that his father is dead, his lands are ruined, and his true love is about to marry his first cousin.

Premiering tonight is the NBC event series A.D. executive produced by Mark Burnett & Roma Downey and starring Juan Pablo di Pace, Vincent Regan, Greta Scacchi, Aniss Elkohen, Richard Coyle, Babou Ceesay, Chipo Chung, Cesare Taurasi and Adam Levy. Hans Zimmer (The Dark Knight, Gladiator, The Lion King) and Lorne Balfe (Home, Penguins of Madagascar) have composed the music for the 12-parter. Premiering tonight in the U.S. on PBS is the British drama Grantchester created by Daisy Coulam and stars James Norton, Robson Green, Morven Christie, Tessa Peake-Jones, Al Weaver and Pheline Roggan. The show’s original music is composed by John Lunn (Downton Abbey, The White Queen). Silva Screen Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score from the show, as well as songs by Louis Armstrong, Sidney Bechet and Gloria Dee overseas last month. The album will be released digitally on January 20 stateside. ‘Wolf Hall’ Soundtrack Announced
Silva Screen Records will release a soundtrack album for the BBC mini-series Wolf Hall. The album features selections from the show’s original music composed and conducted by Debbie Wiseman (Wilde, Adventures of Arsene Lupin, Vampire Killers). The soundtrack will be released overseas on March 9, 2015 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Wolf Hall is based on the Booker Prize-winning novels of Hilary Manteland and stars Mark Rylance, Damian Lewis, Claire Foy, Jonathan Pryce, Mark Gatiss, Stephen Gardiner, Anton Lesser, Mathieu Amalric, Charity Wakefield, Jessica Raine, Bernard Hill, Richard Dillane, Thomas Brodie-Sangster and Natasha Little. The series written by Peter Straughan (Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy) and produced by Peter Kosminsky (White Oleander) chronicles the rise of Thomas Cromwell in the Tudor court, from his lowly start as a blacksmith’s son to Henry VIII’s closest advisor.
