Will Bates, the founder of the film composition and audio post collective Fall On Your Sword, and Phil Mossman are reteaming with director Mike Cahill on the upcoming indie sci-fi drama I, Origins. The film is written and directed by Cahill and stars Michael Pitt, Brit Marling, Astrid Bergès-Frisbey, Steven Yeun and Archie Panjabi. The movie follows a molecular biologist and his lab partner who uncover startling evidence that may fundamentally change society as we know it and cause them to question their once-certain beliefs in science and spirituality. Cahill is also producing the project with Hunter Gray (Terri) and Alex Orlovsky (Blue Valentine, The Place Beyond the Pines).

‘Beneath’ Soundtrack Announced
Milan Records will release a soundtrack album for the horror film Beneath. The album features the film’s original score composed by Will Bates of Fall On Your Sword (Another Earth, Lola Versus, We Steal Secrets). Also included are additional tracks by Graham Reznick and Shilpa Ray. The soundtrack will be released both digitally and physically on July 16, 2013 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Beneath is directed by Larry Fessenden and follows a group of young friends, commemorating their high school graduation, on a trip to the remote Black Lake, hen their celebration turns into a nightmare with the sudden appearance of a bloodthirsty, underwater predator. The movie is set to be released on July 16 in select theaters by Chiller Films.

Expected to top the weekend box office is the action sequel Fast & Furious 6 directed by Justin Lin and starring Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Dwayne Johnson, Jordana Brewster, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Sung Kang, Gal Gadot, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Luke Evans, Gina Carano and John Ortiz. Def Jam Recordings has released a soundtrack album featuring the songs featured in the film by artists including 2 Chainz and Wiz Khalifa, T.I., deadmau5 feat. Cypress Hills and and Ludacris feat. ‘We Steal Secrets: The Story of WikiLeaks’ Soundtrack Details
Back Lot Music will release a soundtrack album for the documentary We Steal Secrets: The Story of WikiLeaks. The album features the film’s original music by Fall On Your Sword (Another Earth, Lola Versus). The soundtrack will be released digitally on May 21, 2013 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Audio clips are available after the jump. We Steal Secrets: The Story of WikiLeaks is helmed by Academy Award-winning director Alex Gibney (Taxi to the Dark Side, Enron: The Smartest Guys in the Room) and details the creation of Julian Assange’s controversial website, which facilitated the largest security breach in U.S. history. The movie premiered at this year’s Sundance Film Festival and will be released on May 24, 2013 in New York and Los Angeles by Focus World before expanding to more cities on May 31. A release on digital platforms including VOD is set for June 7.

The film’s original music is composed by Brian Tyler (Eagle Eye, Fast Five, The Expendables). Hollywood Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score earlier this week. The film’s original score is composed by Johan Soderqvist who has previously collaborated with the director on such films as After the Wedding and Brothers. The film’s title song is performed by Adele and is available to download here. Thomas Newman has composed the movie’s score. Expected to top the weekend box office is the found footage horror film Paranormal Activity 4 directed by Henry Joost & Ariel Schulman, produced by Jason Blum & Oren Peli and starring Kathryn Newton, Matt Shively, Aiden Lovekamp, Brady Allen, Stephen Dunham, Alexondra Lee and Katie Featherston. As the previous three movies in the series, Paranormal Activity 4 doesn’t feature an original score and no soundtrack has been released. Also opening wide is the thriller Alex Cross directed by Rob Cohen (The Fast and the Furious) and starring Tyler Perry, Matthew Fox, Edward Burns, Rachel Nichols and Jean Reno. ’28 Hotel Rooms’ Soundtrack Announced
Milan Records will release a soundtrack album for the indie drama 28 Hotel Rooms. The album features the film’s original score composed by Fall On Your Sword (Another Earth, Lola Versus), as well as the songs Look at You by Lindsey Haun and A Dask of Pixie Dust by Kirk Ross. The soundtrack will be released on November 6, 2012 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. 28 Hotel Rooms is written and directed by Matt Ross and stars Chris Messina and Marin Ireland as a novelist and a corporate accountant who find themselves in bed together while traveling for work in a city far from their homes. The film premiered at this year’s Sundance Film Festival and has been picked up by Oscilloscope Laboratories for a theatrical release on November 9, 2012.
‘Nobody Walks’ Soundtrack Details
Lakeshore Records has announced a soundtrack album for the indie drama Nobody Walks. The album features the film’s original music composed by Fall On Your Sword (Another Earth, Lola Versus). The soundtrack will be released digitally on October 9, 2012 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Audio clips can be checked out below. Nobody Walks is directed by Ry Russo-Young and stars John Krasinski, Olivia Thirlby, Rosemarie DeWitt, Justin Kirk, India Ennenga and Dylan McDermott. The movie co-written by Lena Dunham (Girls) follows a young artist from New York who moves into a Los Angeles family’s home, only to find her disrupting their lives. The drama premiered at this year’s Sundance Film Festival and has been picked up by Magnolia Pictures for a theatrical release on October 12.

Opening in most theaters is Dreamworks Animation’s Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted directed by Eric Darnell, Tom McGrath & Conrad Vernon and featuring a voice cast including Ben Stiller, David Schwimmer, Jada Pinkett Smith, Cedric the Entertainer, Andy Richter, Jessica Chastain, Bryan Cranston and Martin Short. Interscope Records has released a soundtrack album featuring selections from the film’s score composed by Hans Zimmer, as well as the songs featured in the movie by Peter Asher, Yolanda Be Cool and Katy Perry.
