Dominic Lewis has been hired to score the upcoming NBC drama The Player. The show is created by John Rogers (Leverage, The Librarians) & John Fox (The Blacklist) and stars Wesley Snipes, Charity Wakefield, Philip Winchester and Damon Gupton. The series follows a pit boss and the dealer for a high-stakes game where an organization of wealthy individuals gamble on the ability of a former military operative turned security expert to stop some of the biggest crimes imaginable from playing out. Rogers and Fox are also executive producing the Sony Pictures Television production with John Zinman & Patrick Massett (Lara Croft: Tomb Raider) and John Davis (I, Robot, The Firm).

Premiering on Wednesday, August 12, is the ABC Family original series Kevin from Work created by Barbie Adler (How I Met Your Mother) and starring Noah Reid, Paige Spara, Matt Murray, Jordan Hinson and Punam Patel. The show’s original music is composed by Dominic Lewis (Free Birds, The DUFF, Spooks: The Greater Good). Kevin from Work follows a young man who professes his love to a co-worker before accepting another job, only to find that his offer has been rescinded. ‘Spooks: The Greater Good’ Soundtrack Details
Silva Screen Records will release a soundtrack album for the spy thriller Spooks: The Greater Good. The album features the film’s original music composed by Dominic Lewis (Free Birds, The DUFF, The Man in the High Castle). The soundtrack will be released in the UK on May 4, 2015. Spooks: The Greater Good is directed by Bharat Nalluri and stars Peter Firth who reprises his role as Harry Pearce, as well as Kit Harrington, Jennifer Ehle and Elyes Gabel. The movie is the feature version of the British TV series Spooks (known in the US under the title MI-5), which centers around MI5’s battles to defend the UK against its covert enemies.

Three new movies are opening nationwide this weekend:
Opening in most theaters is the comedy sequel Hot Tub Time Machine 2 directed by Steve Pink and starring Rob Corddry, Craig Robinsoin, Clark Duke, Adam Scott and Gillian Jacobs. The film’s original music is composed by Christophe Beck (Frozen, The Hangover, Edge of Tomorrow, Buffy the Vampire Slayer) who previously scored the first part in the series. No soundtrack album has been announced. Hot Tub Time Machine 2 follows Lou, Nick and Jacob who inadvertently land in the future with Adam Jr. and have to alter the future in order to save the past. Also opening wide is the sports drama McFarland, USA directed by Niki Caro and starring Kevin Costner, Maria Bello, Morgan Saylor, Martha Higareda, Michael Aguero, Sergio Avelar, Hector Duran, Rafael Martinez, Johnny Ortiz and Carlos Pratts. Antonio Pinto (City of God, Senna, Lord of War, Snitch) has composed the film’s original score. Walt Disney Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s music, as well as the original end title song Juntos (Together) performed by Juanes. Dominic Lewis Scoring ‘The DUFF’
Dominic Lewis has been tapped to score the upcoming teen comedy The DUFF. The film marks the feature directorial debut of Ari Sandel who received an Ocar for his short West Bank Story and stars Mae Whitman, Robbie Amell, Bella Thorne, Bianca A. Santos, Allison Janney and Ken Jeong. The movie based on the novel by Kody Keplinger follows a high school senior whose world is turned upside down when she learns that her group of friends has labeled her the DUFF (designated ugly fat friend). Josh A. Kagan (Bandslam) has written the screenplay. McG (Charlie’s Angels, Terminator: Salvation), Susan Cartsonis (What Women Want, Beastly) and Mary Viola (Before We Go, Playing It Cool) are producing the project for Wonderland Sound and Vision.

Hans-Zimmer.com is reporting that Dominic Lewis is composing the music for the upcoming British spy thriller Spooks: The Greater Good. The film is based on the BBC TV series Spooks (known in the US under the title MI-5) and stars Peter Firth who reprises his role as Harry Pearce. Kit Harrington and Jennifer Ehle are co-starring in the movie directed by Bharat Nalluri. Jonathan Brackley and Sam Vincent have written the screenplay and Jane Featherstone (Life on Mars, Broadchurch) & Stephen Garrett (Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day) are producing the project with Ollie Madden for Shine Pictures. The Spooks TV series featured music by such composers as Paul Leonard-Morgan (Limitless, Dredd) and Jennie Muskett (The Prince and Me).

Expected to top the weekend box office is the film adaptation of Orson Scott Card’s sci-fi novel Ender’s Game directed by Gavin Hood and starring Asa Butterfield, Hailee Steinfeld, Ben Kingsley, Viola Davis, Abigail Breslin and Harrison Ford. Steve Jablonsky (Transformers series, Battleship) has composed the film’s original score. Varese Sarabande has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s music. ‘Free Birds’ Soundtrack Details
Relativity Music Group will release the official soundtrack album for the animated feature Free Birds. The album features the film’s original music composed by Dominic Lewis. Also included are two original songs recorded for the film, including a cover of Creedence Clearwater’s Up Around the Bend by Social Distortion and Back in Time by MattyBRaps. The soundtrack will be released digitally on October 28, 2013 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The album will be released overseas by Sony Classical. Free Birds is directed by Jimmy Hayward (Horton Hears a Who!) and features the voice talent of Woody Harrelson, Owen Wilson, Amy Poehler, Dan Fogler, Lesley Nicol, George Takei, Colm Meaney and Keith David. The movie follows two turkeys from opposite sides of the tracks who must put aside their differences and team up to travel back in time to change the course of history. The animated feature will be released nationwide on November 1 by Relativity Media.

The film is directed by Jimmy Hayward and follows two turkeys from opposite sides of the tracks must put aside their differences and team up to travel back in time to change the course of history. The movie’s voice cast includes Woody Harrelson, Owen Wilson, Amy Poehler, Dan Fogler, Lesley Nicol, George Takei, Colm Meaney and Keith David. David I. Stern (Open Season 2 & 3) and John Strauss (There’s Something About Mary, The Wild) wrote the screenplay with a rewrite by Craig Mazin (Identity Thief, The Hangover Part II & III). The writers are also producing the Relativity Media and Reel FX production with Scott Mosier (Clerks, Dogma). Hayword previously collaborated with composer John Powell on his last animated feature Horton Hears a Who!.
