Premiering today is the Starz original series Dangerous Liaisons created by Harriet Warner and starring Alice Englert, Nicholas Denton, Lesley Manville, Paloma Faith, Carice van Houten, Michael McElhatton, Nathanael Saleh, Kosar Ali, Hakeem Kae-Kazim, Hilton Pelser and Clare Higgins. The show’s original music is composed by Anne Nikitin (American Animals, The Dropout, Mrs. Wilson, Fate: The Winx Saga). Also premiering in the U.S. today is the BBC drama Mood created by Nicôle Lecky based on her Royal Court play and starring herself, Jordan Duvigneau, Paul Kaye, Jessica Hynes, Mia Jenkins, Mohammad Dalmar and Lara Peake. Bryan Senti (Lowriders, Save Me, Experimenter) has composed the show’s original music. EMI has released a soundtrack album featuring the songs from the show co-written and performed by Lecky. Details for ‘Andor’ – Volume 2 (Episodes 5-8) Soundtrack Album Revealed

The full details of the second soundtrack album for Lucasfilm’s Disney+ original series Andor have been revealed. The album features the original music from the fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth episodes of the show composed by Academy Award nominee and Emmy Award winner Nicholas Britell (Succession, Moonlight, If Beale Street Could Talk, Don’t Look Up, Cruella, The Underground Railroad). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, November 4 by Walt Disney Records and will be available to stream/download here. A first volume featuring the composer’s music from Episodes 1-4 was released last month and a third volume featuring his score from Episodes 9-12 is set to be released on December 2.

Disney+’s ‘Zootopia+’ Episode ‘Duke: The Musical’ to Feature Original Music by Michael Giacchino

Michael Giacchino (Up, Lost, Spider-Man: No Way Home, The Batman, Jurassic World, Star Trek, The Incredibles, Ratatouille) has composed the original music for the episode Duke: The Musical from the new Disney+ original animated shorts series Zootopia+. He also co-wrote the original song Big Time with lyrics by Elyssa Samsel & Kate Anderson (Olaf’s Frozen Adventure, Central Park) for the episode, which centers on small-time weasel crook Duke Weaselton (voiced by Alan Tudyk) as he rethinks his life and pictures himself as a good guy.

Four New Tracks from Michael Giacchino’s ‘Werewolf by Night’ Score Released

Hollywood Records & Marvel Music have released four new tracks from the score of Marvel Studios’ special presentation Werewolf by Night. Available to stream now on all major digital music services are the tracks Big Shoes to Fill, Two Lefts Make a Right, All the World’s a Cage & World’s Worst Makeover composed by the projects’s director and composer Michael Giacchino (Lost, The Batman, Up, Spider-Man: No Way Home, Star Trek, The Incredibles, Doctor Strange). Siddhartha Khosla & Garrett Gonzales Scoring Disney+’s ‘The Mysterious Benedict Society’ Season 2

Siddhartha Khosla (This Is Us, Only Murders in the Building, Runaways, Looking for Alaska, Queenpins) and Garrett Gonzales have been tapped as the new composers of the Disney+ original series The Mysterious Benedict Society. They are co-scoring the second season of the show created by Matt Manfredi & Phil Hay (Ride Along, Clash of the Titans) based on Trenton Lee Stewart’s book series and starring Tony Hale, Kristen Schaal, MaameYaa Boafo, Gia Sandhu, Ryan Hurst, Mystic Inscho, Emmy DeOliveira, Seth B. Carr and Marta Kessler. The new season follows Reynie, Sticky, Kate & Constance as they embark on another mission to save the world from the nefarious plans of his twin brother Dr. L.D. Curtain.

‘Tales of the Jedi’ Soundtrack Album Released

Walt Disney Records has released a soundtrack album for the Disney+ animated anthology series Tales of the Jedi. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Kevin Kiner (Star Wars: The Clone Wars, The Bad Batch & Rebels, Peacemaker, CSI: Miami, Narcos: Mexico, Doom Patrol, Making a Murderer). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Tales of the Jedi is created by Dave Filoni and stars Ashley Eckstein & Corey Burton as Ahsoka Tano & Count Dooku. The 6-part event features parables built around Jedi from the prequel era and journeys into the lives of two distinctly different Jedi who are both put to the test as they make choices that will define their destinies.

Premiering on Tuesday, October 25, is the Netflix anthology series Cabinet of Curiosities created by Guillermo del Toro. Tim Davies (Maya and the Three), Jeff Danna (Onward), Christopher Young (Spider-Man 3), Daniele Luppi (Magic City), Michael Yezerski (Blindspotting), Anne Chmelewsky (Where Hands Touch), Daniel Lopatin (Good Time) and Jed Kurzel (Alien: Covenant) have composed the score for the eight episodes and Holly Amber Church (Open 24 Hours) has written the main title and prologue music. Lakeshore Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composers’ scores. Check out our previous article for the full album details and to learn more about the series.

Also premiering on Tuesday is the fantasy adventure Blade of the 47 Ronin directed by Ron Yuan and starring Anna Akana, Mark Dacascos, Dustin Nguyen, Akira Koieyama, Chris Pang and Mike Moh. The film’s original score is composed by Linkin Park’s Joe Hahn and Alec Puro (Black Summer, The Art of Getting By, All Nighter). Back Lot Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the score and songs (by BlvckNeon, Maddie The Baddie, Simon Morel, Ian Valentine & others) this past Friday. Andor is created by Tony Gilroy and stars Diego Luna, Genevieve O’Reilly, Adria Arjona, Stellan Skarsgård, Denise Gough, Fiona Shaw and Kyle Soller.

John Paesano Scoring Disney+’s ‘Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules’

John Paesano (The Maze Runner, Daredevil, Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Penny Dreadful: City of Angels, Cheaper by the Dozen) is returning as the composer of the upcoming Disney+ animated movie Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules. The film is directed by Luke Cormican and features the voices of Brady Noon, Ethan William Childress, Chris Diamantopoulos, Edward Asner, Erica Cerra and Hunter Dillon. The animated feature is based on the second book in Jeff Kinney’s bestselling book series and focuses on Greg Heffley’s complicated relationship with older brother Rodrick, a lazy and undisciplined high school student who spends way too much time practicing with his rock band.
