Lakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album for Leave No Trace. The album features the film’s original music composed by Dickon Hinchliffe (Winter’s Bone, Out of the Furnace, Locke, Last Chance Harvey, Little Men). The soundtrack will be released digitally on June 29, 2018 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Leave No Trace is directed by Debra Granik and stars Ben Foster, Thomasin Harcourt McKenzie, Jeff Kober and Dale Dickey. The movie follows a father and his thirteen year-old daughter who are living in an ideal existence in a vast urban park in Portland, Oregon, when a small mistake derails their lives forever.

Dickon Hinchliffe Scoring Debra Granik’s ‘Leave No Trace’
Dickon Hinchliffe is reuniting with director Debra Granik on the upcoming indie drama Leave No Trace. The film starring Ben Foster, Thomasin Harcourt McKenzie, Jeff Kober and Dale Dickey is based on the book My Abandonment by Peter Rock. Granik also co-wrote the screenplay with Anne Rosellini who is also producing the project with Anne Harrison (The Danish Girl, Two Family House) and Linda Reisman (Affliction, Waking the Dead). Hinchliffe has previously scored Granik’s last narrative feature, Winter’s Bone starring Jennifer Lawrence.
Dickon Hinchliffe to Score Idris Elba’s ‘Yardie’
Dickon Hinchliffe has been tapped to score the upcoming British drama Yardie. The film marks the feature directorial debut of Idris Elba and stars Aml Ameen, Shantol Jackson, Stephen Graham, Fraser James, Sheldon Shepherd and Everaldo Cleary. The movie is based on the cult novel by Victor Headley and follows a young Jamaican named “D” who arrives in London in the early 1980s and unexpectedly discovers the man who assassinated his revered brother in Jamaica a decade earlier. Brock Norman Brock (Bronson) and Martin Stellman (For Queen & Country) wrote the screenplay.
Dickon Hinchliffe Scoring ‘Burden’
Dickon Hinchliffe has been tapped to score the upcoming indie drama Burden. The film is written and directed by Andrew Heckler and stars Garrett Hedlund, Andrea Riseborough, Forest Whitaker, Tom Wilkinson, Tess Harper and Usher. The movie tells the story of an orphan raised within the Ku Klux Klan who attempts to break away after the girl he falls in love with urges him to leave for a better life together. Robbie Brenner (Dallas Buyers Club, Escape Plan, Machine Gun Preacher, A Perfect Getaway) is producing the project for The Firm. Jeff Kwatinetz, Gabby Revilla and Kevin McKeon serve as executive producers.
Dickon Hinchliffe Scoring Phillip Noyce’s ‘Above Suspicion’
Dickon Hinchliffe has recently recorded his score for the upcoming thriller Above Suspicion. The film is directed by Phillip Noyce (Salt, Patriot Games, Clear and Present Danger) and stars Emilia Clarke, Jack Huston, Thora Birch, Johnny Knoxville, Luke Spencer Roberts, Sophie Lowe, Kevin Dunn, Chris Mulkey, Karl Glusman, Austin Hebert, Omar Benson Miller, Brian Lee Franklin and Brittany O’Grady. The movie is based on the book of the same title by New York Times columnist Joe Sharkey and tells the story of a newly married FBI poster boy who is assigned to an Appalachian mountain town in Kentucky, where he is drawn into an illicit affair with an impoverished local woman who becomes his star informant.
‘Hateship Loveship’ Soundtrack Announced
Filmtrax will release a soundtrack album for the indie romantic drama Hateship Loveship . The album features the film’s original music composed by Dickon Hinchliffe (Out of the Furnace, Last Chance Harvey, Winter’s Bone, At Any Price, Locke). The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, October 21 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon, where you can also check out audio clips. Hateship Loveship is directed by Liza Johnson and stars Kristen Wiig, Guy Pearce, Hailee Steinfeld and Nick Nolte. The movie centers on a nanny who is set up romantically by the granddaughter of an old man she takes care of.

Three new movies are opening nationwide this weekend:
Expected to top the weekend box office is the thriller The Accountant directed by Gary O’Connor and starring Ben Affleck, Anna Kendrick, J.K. Simmons, Jon Bernthal, Jean Smart, Cynthia Addai-Robinson, Jeffrey Tambor and John Lithgow. The film’s original music is composed by Mark Isham (Crash, A River Runs Through It, Once Upon a Time, 42, American Crime). Also opening nationwide is the concert movie Kevin Hart: What Now? directed by Leslie Small. Motown Records has released a soundtrack album featuring songs performed by Hart and guest artists such as Nick Jonas, Trey Songz, Joelle James, Akon,Think, Clinton Sparks, BJ The Chicago Kid & more, as well as a new track by Big Sean & 2 Chainz. Two new movies are opening nationwide this weekend:
Opening in most theaters is the superhero movie Suicide Squad directed by David Ayer and starring Will Smith, Jared Leto, Margot Robbie, Joel Kinnaman, Jai Courtney, Cara Delevingne, Jay Hernandez, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Adam Beach, Karen Fukuhara and Viola Davis. The film’s original music is composed by Steven Price (Gravity, The World’s End, Fury). WaterTower Music will release a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score this coming Monday. Premiering tomorrow, May 30, is the History event mini-series Roots directed by Phillip Noyce, Thomas Carter, Mario Van Peebles and Bruce Beresford and starring Forest Whitaker, Anna Paquin, Laurence Fishburne, Jonathan Rhys Meyers, Anika Noni Rose, Chad L. Coleman, Erica Tazel, Derek Luke, Malachi Kirby and Regé-Jean. The 4-parter’s original music is composed by Alex Heffes (The Last King of Scotland, Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom, 11.22.63). Philip Miller (Catch a Fire) has co-scored the Noyce-directed first episode. Questlove (Top Five) serves as the executive music producer on the project. Premiering tonight is the Irish mini-series Rebellion directed by Aku Louhimies and starring Charlie Murphy, Ruth Bradley, Sarah Greene, Brian Gleeson, Michelle Fairley, Ian McElhinney, Michael Ford-Fitzgerald, Paul Reid, Barry Ward and Tom Turner. The 5-parter’s original music is composed by Stephen Rennicks (Room, Frank, Viva). Rebellion tells the story of the birth of modern Ireland through the eyes of three young women.
