David Sardy has signed on to score the upcoming action thriller Ten. The film is directed by David Ayer (Street Kings, screenwriter of Training Day) and stars Arnold Schwarzenegger as the leader of an elite DEA task force that takes on the world’s deadliest drug cartels. Sam Worthington, Joe Manganiello, Harold Perrineau, Terrence Howard, Max Martini, Josh Holloway, Olivia Williams and Mireille Enos are co-starring. Skip Woods (X-Men Origins: Wolverine, A Good Day to Die Hard, Swordfish) has written the screenplay and Joe Roth (Oz the Great and Powerful, Alice in Wonderland), Bill Block & Paul Hanson (W., Alex Cross), Palak Patel (Snow White and the Huntsman) and Al Ruddy (Million Dollar Baby) are producing the project. Sardy (21, Zombieland, Premium Rush) has previously scored Ayer’s last directorial effort, End of Watch starring Jake Gyllenhaal and Michael Pena.

David Sardy to Score Louis Leterrier’s ‘Now You See Me’
David Sardy has been hired to score the upcoming heist thriller Now You See Me. The movie is directed by Louis Leterrier (The Incredible Hulk, Clash of the Titans) and stars Jesse Eisenberg, Mark Ruffalo, Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine, Melanie Laurent, Isla Fisher, Woody Harrelson, Dave Franco and Common. The film follows a group of the world’s greatest illusionists who pull off daring bank heists during their performances. Boaz Yakin (Remember the Titans) and Edward Ricour have written the screenplay and Alex Kurtzman & Roberto Orci (Star Trek, Transformers) are producing via their Kurtzman Orci Paper Products company. It has been reported last year that The Chemical Brothers were previously attached to score the film.

Four new movies are opening in wide release this weekend:
Opening in most theaters is the drama Trouble with the Curve directed by Robert Lorenz and starring Clint Eastwood, Amy Adams, Justin Timberlake, John Goodman, Matthew Lillard and Scott Eastwood. The film’s score is written by Academy Award-nominated composer Marco Beltrami (3:10 to Yuma, Scream). Varese Sarabande has released a soundtrack album featuring Beltrami’s score digitally earlier this week. A physical version is scheduled to come out on October 16. Relativity Music Group has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score, as well as a number of songs from the film including Public Enemy’s new track Harder Than You Think. ‘End of Watch’ Soundtrack Released
Relativity Music Group has released the official soundtrack album for the action thriller End of Watch. The album features selections from the film’s original score composed by David Sardy (Zombieland, 21), as well as the tracks Lisa’s Coming by the Latin Rascals, Harder Than You Think by Public Enemy, and Hey! Love by The Delfonics. The soundtrack has been released digitally today and is now available to download on Amazon. Check out audio clips from all tracks on the release after the jump. Already in theaters since this past Wednesday is the action comedy Hit & Run directed by Dax Shepard and David Palmer and starring Shepard, Kristen Bell, Bradley Cooper, Tom Arnold, Beau Bridges, Kristin Chenoweth, David Koechner and Michael Rosenbaum. The film’s score is composed by Julian Wass and Bob Mervak has provided additional music. Lakeshore Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the film’s songs by artists including Ishmael Jingo, Lou Rawls, Kool and the Gang, John Martyn, Dazz Band and The Highlighters. Expected to have the best weekend at the box office among the new releases is the superhero action sequel Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance directed by Mark Neveldine & Brian Taylor and starring Nicolas Cage, Idris Elba, Violante Placido, Ciaran Hinds and Christopher Lambert. The film’s score is composed by David Sardy (Zombieland, 21). A soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score has been released by Madison Gate Records earlier this week. Also opening wide is the romantic action comedy This Means War directed by McG and starring Reese Witherspoon, Chris Pine, Tom Hardy, Angela Bassett and Til Schweiger. the film marks the second collaboration between McG and Christophe Beck who has written the music for the movie. David Sardy to Score ‘End of Watch’
David Sardy has signed on to score the upcoming cop drama End of Watch. The film is written and directed by David Ayer (screenwriter of Training Day) and stars Jake Gyllenhaal and Michael Pena as two LAPD officers as they confront love, marriage, fatherhood and the harsh realities of the Los Angeles streets. Anna Kendrick and Natalie Martinez are co-starring as the officers’ love interests. Ayer is producing the film through his production company Crave Pictures and John Lesher is producing through Gribisi Productions. Ayer’s previous directorial efforts (Harsh Times, Street Kings) featured music by composer Graeme Revell.
David Sardy to Score ‘Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance’
David Sardy is scoring the superhero action sequel Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance. The movie is directed by Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor (Crank, Gamer). Nicolas Cage returns as Johnny Blaze who lives in exile in Eastern Europe, where he is called upon to stop the devil, who is trying to take human form. Idris Elba, Violante Placido, Ciaran Hinds and Christopher Lambert are co-starring. Scott Gimple and Seth Hoffman (Flash Forward) have written the screenplay, which is based on a story by David Goyer (Batman Begins). Avi Arad (Spider-Man, Iron Man), Ari Arad, Michael De Luca (The Social Network, Moneyball) and Steven Paul are producing. Mark Steven Johnson who directed the first Ghost Rider installment scored by composer Christopher Young, is executive producing the project.
David Sardy scoring ‘Premium Rush’
According to the Gorfaine/Schwartz agency, David Sardy is attached to score the upcoming action thriller Premium Rush. The movie centers around a New York City bike messenger who picks up a package at Columbia University and subsequently catches the attention of a dirty cop. The film stars Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Jamie Chung and Michael Shannon and is co-written and directed by David Koepp. The writer/director previously worked with James Newton Howard on his first two directorial efforts The Trigger Effect and Stir of Echoes and more recently with Geoff Zanelli on Secret Window (alongside Philip Glass) and Ghost Town. Premium Rush is produced by Gavin Polone who worked with Sardy on 2009’s hit horror comedy Zombieland.
