Premiering today is the Paramount+ original series Fatal Attraction developed by Alexandra Cunningham and starring Joshua Jackson, Lizzy Caplan, Amanda Peet, Toby Huss, Brian Goodman, Alyssa Jirrels and Reno Wilson. The show’s original music is composed by Craig DeLeon (The Last Days of Ptolemy Grey, Velma, End of the Road, Music, The Last Survivors). The thriller, which is based on Adrian Lyne’s 80s hit movie of the same title, will be available to stream exclusively on Paramount+.

Also premiering today is the British limited series Tom Jones written by Gwyneth Hughes based on Henry Fielding’s novel The History of Tom Jones, A Foundling and starring Solly McLeod, Sophie Wilde, Hannah Waddingham, Shirley Henderson, James Fleet, Felicity Montagu, Alun Armstrong, James Wilbraham, Pearl Mackie and Tamzin Merchant. Matthew Slater (Grace, Endeavour) has composed the show’s original music. Atli Örvarsson (The Hitman’s Bodyguard, Vantage Point, The Edge of Seventeen, Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters, The Eagle) is scoring the upcoming Apple TV+ original series Silo. The show is created by Graham Yost (Justified, The Americans) based on Hugh Howey’s trilogy of dystopian novels and stars Rebecca Ferguson, Common, Harriet Walter, Avi Nash, Chinaza Uche, David Oyelowo, Rashida Jones and Tim Robbins. The sci-fi drama tells the story of the last ten thousand people on earth and follows an engineer who seeks answers about a loved one’s murder and tumbles onto a mystery that goes far deeper than she could have ever imagined.

Composer Atli Örvarsson (The Hitman’s Bodyguard, Defending Jacob, The Edge of Seventeen, Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters, Vantage Point, The Eagle) is set to reteam with director David M. Rosenthal on a currently untitled French Netflix original film (known under the working title Apnea). The movie is written and directed by Rosenthal and stars Camille Rowe, Sofiane Zermani, César Domboy and Zacharie Chasseriaud. The thriller follows a young university student who decides to drop her studies and escape her life in Paris for a freediving course in the south of France, where she is quickly pulled into a life that reaches new depths brought by the weight of an ocean’s descent.

INNI has released a soundtrack album for the Icelandic/Polish thriller Wolka. The album features the film’s original music composed by Atli Örvarsson (The Hitman’s Bodyguard, Defending Jacob, Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters, The Edge of Seventeen, Vantage Point, Chicago Fire, FBI). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Apple Music/iTunes and other digital music services. Wolka is co-written and directed by Árni Ólafur Ásgeirsson (PLOEY – You Never Fly Alone) and stars Olga Bołądź, Eryk Lubos, Bernadetta Statkiewicz, Anna Moskal, Agnieszka Makowsk and Karolina Adamczyk. The movie revolves around a woman who is released after 15 years in a Polish prison and travels to a island off the coast of Iceland with a large Polish migrant community to pursue a perfidious plan.

Premiering tonight is the PBS documentary Muhammad Ali directed and executive produced by Ken Burns, Sarah Burns & David McMahon about the iconic heavyweight boxing champion who became an inspiration to people everywhere. The film’s original music is composed by songwriter and hip hop record producer Jahlil Beats. A soundtrack album featuring the artist’s music has been released today. Check out our soundtrack announcement for the full album details and to learn more about the 4-parter, which will air over the next four days on PBS.

Premiering tomorrow, September 20 is the Fox comedy drama The Big Leap created by Liz Heldens and starring Scott Foley, Simone Recasner, Piper Perabo, Jon Rudnitsky, Ser’Darius Blain, Raymond Cham, Jr., Kevin Daniels, Mallory Jansen, Anna Grace Barlow and Teri Polo. Joe Wong (The Midnight Gospel, Master of None, To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before, Russian Doll) is composing the show’s original score. A first song from the series (Just Like Heaven produced by Wong and performed by Eryn Allen Kane) was released this past week. The series follows the elite operatives of the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s International Fly Team as they travel the world with the mission of tracking and neutralizing threats against American citizens.

The only new movie opening in theaters nationwide this week is the action comedy Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard directed by Patrick Hughes and starring Ryan Reynolds, Samuel L. Jackson, Salma Hayek, Antonio Banderas, Morgan Freeman, Frank Grillo, Caroline Goodall, Rebecca Front, Gabriella Wrigh and Richard E. Grant. The the film’s original music is composed by Atli Örvarsson (Defending Jacob, Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters, Vantage Point, The Edge of Seventeen, The Eagle, Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga). Opening in around 500 theaters is the documentary The Sparks Brothers directed by Edgar Wright about brothers/bandmates Ron and Russell Mael and their overlooked rock band Sparks. The film’s doesn’t feature an original score. Gary Welch serves as the project’s music supervisor. Back Lot Music has released a soundtrack EP featuring three songs by the band from their 2018 London performance, as well alyric read by Neil Gaiman today. Milan Records will release the official soundtrack album for the action comedy Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard. The album features the film’s original music composed by Atli Örvarsson (Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters, Defending Jacob, Vantage Point, The Edge of Seventeen, Eurovision Song Contest, The Eagle). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, June 11 and will be available to stream/download on all major digital music platforms, including Amazon. The label has previously released the composer’s score from the 2017 original film. Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard is directed by Patrick Hughes and stars Ryan Reynolds, Samuel L. The album features the songs from the movie performed by Will Ferrell, My Marianne, Demi Lovato, Erik Mjöne, Savan Kotecha, Anteros, Salvador Sobral & others. Also included is a score suite by the movie’s composer Atli Orvarsson (The Hitman’s Bodyguard, Defending Jacob, Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters). The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, June 26 by Arista Records and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga is directed by David Dobkin and stars Ferrell, Rachel McAdams, Pierce Brosnan, Dan Stevens and Lovato. The comedy follows two aspiring musicians as they are given the opportunity of a lifetime to represent their country at the world’s biggest song competition, where they finally have a chance to prove that any dream worth having is a dream worth fighting for.
