Composer Atli Örvarsson (The Hitman’s Bodyguard, Defending Jacob, The Edge of Seventeen, Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters, Vantage Point, The Eagle) is set to reteam with director David M. Rosenthal on a currently untitled French Netflix original film (known under the working title Apnea). The movie is written and directed by Rosenthal and stars Camille Rowe, Sofiane Zermani, César Domboy and Zacharie Chasseriaud. The thriller follows a young university student who decides to drop her studies and escape her life in Paris for a freediving course in the south of France, where she is quickly pulled into a life that reaches new depths brought by the weight of an ocean’s descent.

The movie centers on a young lawyer as he heads west to find his pregnant fiancée when a mysterious disaster turns the country into a war zone.
Atli Orvarsson to Score David M. Rosenthal’s ‘How It Ends’
Atli Orvarsson is reteaming with director David M. Rosenthal on the upcoming action thriller How It Ends. The film starring Theo James, Kat Graham, Forest Whitaker and Kerry Bishe revolves around a mysterious apocalyptic event that turns the roads into mayhem, and follows a young father who will stop at nothing to get home to his pregnant wife on the other side of the country. Brooks McLaren wrote the Black List-honored screenplay. Paul Schiff (My Cousin Vinny, Rushmore), Tai Duncan (Into the Grizzly Maze), Kelly McCormick (Atomic Blonde) and Patrick Newall (The Keeping Room) are producing the project.

Atli Örvarsson has been hired to score the upcoming thriller The Perfect Guy. The film is directed by David M. Rosenthal and stars Sanaa Lathan, Michael Ealy, Morris Chestnut, Charles S. Dutton, Rutina Wesley and Kathryn Morris. The movie follows a woman who meets an IT expert who appears to be the perfect guy, but soon discovers a violent side of him. Tommy Oliver, Darryl Taja, Nicole Rocklin (Middle of Nowhere) and Wendy Rhoads (The Haunting in Connecticut) are producing the Screen Gems production. Tyger Williams (Menace II Society) has written the screenplay.
