Feber Records has released a soundtrack album for the Norwegian comedy drama Nothing to Laugh About (Ingenting å le av). The album features the film’s original music composed by Aslak Hartberg (Heimbane, Gone with the Woman, Through a Glass, Darkly). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon (and any other major digital music stores), where you can also check out the track list and listen to audio samples. Nothing to Laugh About is directed by Petter Naess and stars Odd-Magnus Williamson (who also wrote the screenplay), Sara Khorami and Øystein Martinsen. Carlos Rafael Rivera has won his second Emmy Award for his score for the episode End Game of the Netflix limited series The Queen’s Gambit in the Outstanding Music Composition for a Limited Series, Movie or a Special category at tonight’s Creative Arts Emmy Awards ceremony on the Event Deck at LA LIVE in Downtown Los Angeles.He was previously honored with his first Emmy for his main title music for Scott Frank’s Netflix series Godless. Ludwig Göransson was honored with his second Primetime Emmy Award for his score for the sixteenth chapter (The Rescue) of the Disney+ original series The Mandalorian in the Music Composition for a Series category. Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the supernatural horror movie Malignant directed by James Wan and starring Annabelle Wallis, Maddie Hasson, George Young, Jacqueline McKenzie, Michole Briana White, Jake Abel and Ingrid Bisu. The film’s original music is composed by Joseph Bishara (Insidious, Annabelle, The Conjuring, The Curse of La Llorona, The Unholy). Germaine Franco (Dora and the Lost City of Gold, Tag, Dope Little) has recently been recording her score for the upcoming animated feature Encanto. The film is directed by Byron Howard (Tangled, Bolt) & Jared Bush (Zootopia) and features the voices of Stephanie Beatriz, María Cecilia Botero, Wilmer Valderrama, Adassa, Diane Guerrero, Angie Cepeda, Mauro Castillo, Jessica Darrow, Rhenzy Feliz and Carolina Gaitan. The movie tells the story of the Madrigals family who live hidden in the mountains of Colombia in a wondrous place called an Encanto and follows an ordinary 15-year-old who’s struggling to find her place in her family.
