Dubois Records will release a soundtrack album for the ballet movie Coppelia. The album features the film’s original music composed by Maurizio Malagnini (Call the Midwife, Peter and Wendy, The Paradise, The C Word) and performed by the BBC Concert Orchestra. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, November 25 and will be available to stream/download on all major digital music platforms, including Amazon. Coppelia is directed by Jeff Tudor, Steven de Beul & Ben Tesseur and stars Michaela DePrince, Daniel Camargo, Vito Mazzeo, Sasha Mukhamedov, Irek Mukhamedov and Dame Darcey Bussell. The movie based on the classic ballet of the same name is a modern retelling of the love story between Swan and Franz, jeopardized by cosmetic surgeon Dr. Coppelius and his uncannily beautiful protégé Coppelia. Mark Mancina (Twister, Speed, Bad Boys, Tarzan, August Rush, Brother Bear, Training Day) has recently started recording his score for the upcoming Netflix animated film The Sea Beast. The movie is directed by Chris Williams (Bolt, Big Hero 6) and tells the story of a legendary sea monster hunter whose life is turned upside down when a young girl stows away on his ship and befriends the most dangerous beast of them all.
