Mario Grigorov (Precious, The Paperboy, Shadowdancer, Kill Chain, Petals on the Wind) has recently scored the upcoming German drama The Forger (Der Passfälscher). The film is written and directed by Maggie Peren (Color of the Ocean, Stellungswechsel) and stars Louis Hofmann, Jonathan Berlin, Luna Wedler, Nina Gummich, André Jung, Marc Limpach and Yotam Ishay. The movie tells the true story of Cioma Schönhaus, a Jewish man who, during the Second World War, repeatedly escaped the Gestapo thanks to his ability to forge passports. Ionophone has released a soundtrack album for the documentary Pharma Bro. The album features the film’s original music composed by Graham Walsh. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon (and any other major digital music services), where you can also check out audio samples. Pharma Bro is directed by Brent Hodge and tells story of pharmaceutical tycoon Martin Shkreli, known for raising the price of an AIDS drug 5500% overnight, buying the sole copy of a Wu-Tang Clan album for $2 million dollars and being convicted of securities fraud. Opening in theaters nationwide is the disaster movie Moonfall co-written and directed by Roland Emmerich and starring Halle Berry, John Bradley, Patrick Wilson, Michael Peña, Charlie Plummer, Kelly Yu, Eme Ikwuakor, Carolina Bartczak and Donald Sutherland. The film’s original score is composed by Thomas Wander & Harald Kloser (The Day After Tomorrow, 2012, Midway, White House Down, Independence Day: Resurgence). Atlantic Screen Music/Filmtrax has released a soundtrack album featuring the composers’ score, as well as the original song One More Time by Luka Kloser. Also opening wide is the comedy Jackass Forever directed by Jeff Tremaine and starring Johnny Knoxville, Steve-O, Chris Pontius, Danger Ehren, Dave England, Wee Man and Preston Lacy. Joseph Shirley (The Book of Boba Fett, The Mysterious Benedict Society, Bad Trip, Fairfax) has composed the score for the film’s opening sequence. Paramount Music has released a new version of the song If You’re Gonna Be Dumb, You Gotta Be Tough recorded for the movie by Yelawolf & DJ Paul.
