Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is Marvel Studios’ Thor: Love and Thunder directed by Taika Waititi and starring Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Tessa Thompson, Christian Bale and Russell Crowe. Michael Giacchino (Up, The Batman, Spider-Man: No Way Home, Doctor Strange, Jurassic World, Lost) has composed the themes and has co-scored the movie with Nami Melumad (Star Trek: Strange New Worlds & Prodigy, An American Pickle). Hollywood Records/Marvel Music have released a soundtrack featuring the composers’ score. Opening in select U.S. theaters is the French drama Both Sides of the Blade (Avec amour et acharnement) co-written and directed by Claire Denis and starring Juliette Binoche, Vincent Lindon, Grégoire Colin, Bulle Ogier, Issa Perica and Mati Diop. The film’s original music composed by Tindersticks (High Life, White Material, Bastards). No word on a soundtrack release. Disney Music has released the official playlist for Marvel Studios’ Thor: Love and Thunder. The playlist features the songs from the movie, including four tracks by Guns N’ Roses (Welcome to the Jungle, Paradise City, Sweet Child O’Mine & November Rain), ABBA’s Our Last Summer, Mary J. Blige’s Family Affair, Enya’s Only Time, Dio’s Rainbow in the Dark and Ciara’s Goodies. Milan Records has announced a soundtrack album for the Netflix original series Resident Evil. The album features selections of the show’s original score composed by Gregory Reveret. Also included is the original song My Heart Has Teeth by deadmau5 featuring Skylar Grey. The soundtrack will be released digitally next Thursday, July 14 and will be available to stream/download here. Reveret’s main theme (Venus Flytrap) is already available to stream/download now and can also be checked out below.
