Haut et Court has released a soundtrack album for the French crime thriller The Night of the 12th (La nuit du 12). The album features the film’s original music composed by Olivier Marguerit (My Best Part, Dark Inclusion, The Lion Sleeps Tonight). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download here, where you can also check out the track list and listen to audio samples. The Night of the 12th is co-written and directed by Dominik Moll and stars Bastien Bouillon, Bouli Lanners, Théo Cholbi, Thibaut Evrard, Johann Dionnet, Julien Frison, Mouna Soulam, Paul Jeanson, Pauline Serieys, Anouk Grinberg and Lula Cotton Frapier. The show is written by Nick Leather (Murdered For Being Different, Rocket’s Island) and stars Iain De Caestecker and Joanna Vanderham. The 3-part thriller follows an an emergency call handler for the Strathclyde Ambulance Service in Glasgow whose world is turned upside down when he receives a desperate life-and-death call from a distressed woman who appears to know him. Monty Norman has passed away at age 94. The singer, composer and lyricist, best known for writing the James Bond theme and the score for first James Bond movie, 1962’s Dr. No directed by Terence Young and starring Sean Connery has composed numerous songs and scores for stage and screen starting in the late 1950s. His other film/TV scoring credits include Hammer Films’ 1960 feature The Two Faces of Dr. Jekyll directed by Terence Fisher, 1963’s Call Me Bwana directed by Gordon Douglas and the 1976 miniseries Dickens of London.
