Jason Akana has recently scored the upcoming Hulu original movie Quasi. The film is directed Kevin Heffernan and stars Heffernan himself, Steve Lemme, Jay Chandrasekhar, Erik Stolhanske, Paul Soter (who also co-wrote the screenplay), as well as Adrianne Palicki. The comedy tells the story of a hapless hunchback who only yearns for love, but finds himself in the middle of a murderous feud between the Pope and the King of France when each orders the hunchback to kill the other. James Newton Howard’s Expanded ‘Peter Pan’ Score to Be Released

Intrada Records has announced a new soundtrack album for the 2003 fantasy adventure Peter Pan co-written and directed by P.J. Hogan and starring Jeremy Sumpter, Jason Isaacs, Rachel Hurd-Wood, Olivia Williams, Ludivine Sagnier, Richard Briers, Lynn Redgrave and Geoffrey Palmer. The album features the expanded original score from the film composed by Academy Award nominee James Newton Howard (The Hunger Games, King Kong, The Fugitive, The Sixth Sense, Michael Clayton, Signs, Maleficent), including over an hour of previously unreleased music. Christophe Beck (Frozen, Edge of Tomorrow, Free Guy, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, The Hangover, The Muppets) has confirmed during a recent interview on Film Music Live that he will return to score Marvel Studios’ upcoming Disney+ original series Agatha: Coven of Chaos. The show created by Jac Schaeffer is a spin-off to the studios’ 2021 limited series WandaVision and stars Kathryn Hahn who reprises her role as Agatha Harkness.
