Milan Records has released a soundtrack album for the French biographical drama Abbé Pierre: A Century of Devotion (L’Abbé Pierre – Une vie de combats). The album features the film’s original music composed by Bryce Dessner (of The National) (The Two Popes, A Good Person, Bardo, She Came to Me, The Kitchen). Abbé Pierre: A Century of Devotion is co-written and directed by Frédéric Tellier and stars Benjamin Lavernhe, Emmanuelle Bercot and Michel Vuillermoz. The movie tells the story of French priest Abbé Pierre, from his time in the Resistance to his post-war engagement in fighting poverty and inadequate housing. The drama premiered at this year’s Cannes Film Festival and is being released in French theaters today.
