Kenneth Branagh announced today that Hildur Guđnadóttir (Joker, Chernobyl, Women Talking, Tar, Sicario: Day of the Soldado) will compose the original score for the upcoming supernatural mystery thriller A Haunting in Venice. The follow-up to Murder on the Orient Express & Death on the Nile (scored by Patrick Doyle) is directed by Branagh and stars the filmmaker himself, Kyle Allen, Michelle Yeoh, Camille Cottin, Tina Fey, Jamie Dornan, Jude Hill, Ali Khan, Kelly Reilly, Emma Laird and Riccardo Scamarcio. The movie is set in eerie, post-World War II Venice on All Hallows’ Eve and follows Hercule Poirot as he reluctantly attends a séance, when one of the guests is murdered. Disney announced today that Dave Metzger (Brother Bear 2, Tarzan & Jane, Tarzan 2: The Legend Begins) is scoring the Walt Disney Animation Studios’ upcoming feature Wish. It was also announced that Grammy Award-winning producer/songwriter/musician Benjamin Rice has joined Julia Michaels to write the original songs for the movie directed by Chris Buck & Fawn Veerasunthorn and starring Ariana DeBose, Chris Pine and Alan Tudyk.
