Banijay Music has released a new soundtrack album for the Channel 4 comedy The Curse. The album features selections of the original music from the show’s second season composed by Marli Wren. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download here, where you can also check out audio samples. The label has previously released an album featuring Wren’s score from Season 1 last year. Premiering tonight is the HBO original series The Idol created by Sam Levinson & Abel “The Weeknd” Tesfaye (who also provided original music to the show, alongside Mike Dean) & Reza Fahim and starring The Weeknd himself, Lily-Rose Depp and Troye Sivan. Manish Raval & Tom Wolfe serve as the drama’s music supervisors. Republic Records will release a soundtrack album featuring the songs by The Weeknd & others later this month. Also premiering in the U.S. today is the British sci-fi series The Lazarus Project created by Joe Barton and starring Paapa Essiedu, Anjli Mohindra, Tom Burke and Caroline Quentin. Ben Lukas Boysen (BeatThe Collini Case) & Paul Emmerich are composing the show’s original music. SATV has released a soundtrack album featuring the composers’ score last year when the drama premiered in the UK on Sky Max and NOW. The album features selections of the original score from the show’s second season composed by Neal Acree (Stargate SG-1, Witchblade, World of WarcraftStarCraft II, Diablo III, Overwatch), as well as the original songs written by Sam Riegel & Mr. Fantastic. Thompson and starring Shameik Moore, Hailee Steinfeld, Jake Johnson, Daniel Kaluuya, Issa Rae, Jason Schwartzman, Brian Tyree Henry and Oscar Isaac. Capitol Records has released the full soundtrack for the Paramount+ original series Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies. The album features all the original songs from the show co-written by the project’s executive music producer Justin Tranter and performed by cast members including Marisa Davila, Cheyenne Isabel Wells, Tricia Fukuhara, Ari Notartomaso, Shanel Bailey, Jason Schmidt, Jackie Hoffman, Johnathan Nieves, Madison Thompson & Maxwell Whittington-Cooper, as well as the Grease Is the Word cover from the first episode. The show is directed by Lesley Chilcott and follows Arnold Schwarzenegger’s multifaceted life and career, from bodybuilding champ to Hollywood icon to politician. The 3-parter features interview with Arnold himself, his friends, foes, co-stars and observers and covers everything from his days pumping iron to his triumphs in Hollywood and his time governing the state of California.
