Premiering tonight is the HBO original series The Idol created by Sam Levinson & Abel “The Weeknd” Tesfaye (who also provided original music to the show, alongside Mike Dean) & Reza Fahim and starring The Weeknd himself, Lily-Rose Depp and Troye Sivan. Manish Raval & Tom Wolfe serve as the drama’s music supervisors. Republic Records will release a soundtrack album featuring the songs by The Weeknd & others later this month. Also premiering in the U.S. today is the British sci-fi series The Lazarus Project created by Joe Barton and starring Paapa Essiedu, Anjli Mohindra, Tom Burke and Caroline Quentin. Ben Lukas Boysen (BeatThe Collini Case) & Paul Emmerich are composing the show’s original music. SATV has released a soundtrack album featuring the composers’ score last year when the drama premiered in the UK on Sky Max and NOW. Premiering on Wednesday, June 7, is the Netflix documentary series Arnold directed by Lesley Chilcott. The show’s original music is composed by Christophe Beck (Ant-ManFrozen, Ant-Man and the Wasp, WandaVision, Edge of Tomorrow, The HangoverBuffy the Vampire Slayer) & Matthew Feder. Also premiering in the U.S. on Wednesday is the British limited series Somewhere Boy written by Pete Jackson and starring Lewis Gribben, Lisa McGrillis, Rory Keenan and Samuel Bottomley. Paul Haslinger (Halt and Catch Fire, UnderworldCrank, Death RaceMonster Hunter, Resident Evil: The Final Chapter) has composed the show’s original music. The 8-part drama, which centers on a relationship between a father and his son who live in a house locked away from the world, premiered in the UK last fall on Channel 4 and is making its U.S. debut on Hulu.

Premiering on Thursday, June 8, is the Peacock original series Based on a True Story created by Craig Rosenberg and starring  Kaley Cuoco, Chris Messina, Tom Bateman, Natalia Dyer, Liana Liberato, Aisha Alfa, Priscilla Quintana, Alex Alomar Akpobome, Annabelle Dexter-Jones and Li Jun Li. The show’s original music is composed by Sherri Chung (Kung Fu, Gremlins: Secrets of the Mogwai, Batwoman, Riverdale, The Lost HusbandBlindspot). Also premiering on Thursday is the Disney Channel animated series Hailey’s On It! created by Devin Bunje & Nick Stanton and starring Auli’i Cravalho, Manny Jacinto and Gary Anthony Williams. Matthew Tishler (High School Musical: The Musical: The Series) and Andrew Underberg (The J Team) are composing the show’s original songs and score. Walt Disney Records has released the theme song performed by Cravalho last month. Premiering on Friday, June 9, is the Apple TV+ limited series The Crowded Room created by Akiva Goldsman and starring Tom Holland, Amanda Seyfried, Sasha Lane, Emmy Rossum, Lior Raz, Jason Isaacs, Will Chase, Christopher Abbott, Zachary Golinger and Thomas Sadoski. The show’s original music is composed by Trevor Gureckis (OldServantThe Goldfinch, Voyagers, Dead Space).
