Banijay Music has released a soundtrack album for the new ITV drama Three Little Birds. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Benjamin Burrell (Shortcut). Three Little Birds is created by Sir Lenny Henry and stars Rochelle Neil, Yazmin Belo, Saffron Coomber, Javone Prince, Leemore Marrett Jr, Arthur Darvill, Bobby Gordon and Amy Beth Hayes. The 6-part drama executive produced by Russell T Davies is inspired by Lenny Henry’s mother’s stories about leaving Jamaica in the 1950s for Great Britain, which became her lifelong home and where she raised her family. Volker Bertelmann was named Film Composer of the Year at the 23rd World Soundtrack Awards, tonight’s closing event of the 50th Ghent Film Festival, for his scores for Edward Berger’s All Quiet of the Western Front (for which he also received the Academy Award earlier this year), the Norwegian World War II drama War Sailor and Saara Saarela’s sci-fi drama Memory of Water. Nicholas Britell was honored as TV Composer of the Year today for his score for the fourth and final season of the HBO original series Succession and his music for the first season of Disney+’s Star Wars series Andor. Opening in theaters nationwide is the crime drama Killers of the Flower Moon co-written and directed by Martin Scorsese and starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Lily Gladstone, Robert De Niro, Jesse Plemons, Tantoo Cardinal, John Lithgow and Brendan Fraser. The film’s original music is composed by Robbie Robertson (The Color of Money, The Irishman) who also served as the project’s executive music producer.
