Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the sci-fi sequel TRON: Ares directed by Joachim Rønning and starring Jared Leto, Greta Lee, Evan Peters, Hasan Minhaj, Gillian Anderson, Jodie Turner-Smith, Cameron Monaghan, Arturo Castro and Jeff Bridges. The film’s original music is composed by Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross (The Social Network, Soul, Challengers, Gone Girl, Watchmen, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo) as Nine Inch Nails. Interscope Records & The Null Corporation have released a soundtrack album featuring the band’s score and songs last month. Also opening nationwide this weekend is the crime comedy drama Roofman directed by Derek Cianfrance and starring Channing Tatum, Kirsten Dunst, Ben Mendelsohn, LaKeith Stanfield, Juno Temple, Melonie Diaz, Uzo Aduba, Lily Collias, Jimmy O. Yang and Peter Dinklage. Christopher Bear (of the rock band Grizzly Bear) (Past Lives, High Maintenance, Adults, Mother, Couch, Swallowed, The Passenger) has composed the film’s original score. A soundtrack album will be released by Varese Sarabande according to the movie’s end credits, but no details have been announced yet.
