KRO and One Riot Records will release a soundtrack album for the coming-of-age drama Girls Like Girls. The album features fourteen songs from and inspired by the film by singer/songwriter Hayley Kiyoko who also directed the movie. The soundtrack will be released digitally and physically (on CD and vinyl) on June 12 and is now available for pre-order in all formats on Amazon. A first track (Collide feat. Girls Like Girls is co-written and directed by Kiyoko based on her hit single and novel of the same title and stars Maya da Costa, Myra Molloy, Levon Hawke and Zach Braff. The movie is set over the course of one sun-drenched summer an tells the story of a new-girl-in-town who falls in love for the first time while learning to accept herself along the way. The drama (scored by Jessica Rose Weiss whose music is already available to stream on her official website) will be released in theaters on June 19 by Focus Features.
