Kelley and stars Alfred Molina, Ving Rhames, ​Jamie Bamber, ​Jennifer Finnigan, Bill Irwin, Keong Sim, Sarayu Rao and Emily Swallow. The show based on a novel by practicing neurosurgeon and CNN chief medical correspondent Dr. Sanjay Gupta is set at the fictional Chelsea General Hospital in Portland, Oregon and follows the lives of a group of doctors as they push the limits of their abilities and confront their personal and professional failings. Kelley is executing producing the show with ​Gupta and Bill D’Elia (The West Wing, The Practice) who also directed the pilot. Lux has previously scored several shows for Kelley, including the Emmy-winning hit shows Ally McBeal and Boston Legal, and most recently the second season of NBC’s Harry’s Law. spring-breakersAtlantic Records will release the official soundtrack album for the upcoming indie drama Spring Breakers. The album features the film’s original music composed by Skrillex and Cliff Martinez. Also included is music by Atlanta rapper Gucci Mane who also stars in the film. The soundtrack will be released on March 12, 2013 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The full album details are expected to be announced within the next couple of weeks. Spring Breakers is written and directed by Harmony Korine and stars James Franco, Selena Gomez, Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Benson and Rachel Korine. The film premiered at last year’s Venice Film Festival and has been picked up for domestic distribution by A24 and Annapurna. The show’s music is composed by John Frizzell (Alien: Resurrection, Dante’s Peak). The series follows an ex-FBI agent who is recruited to recapture an escaped serial killer. ‘Snitch’ Soundtrack Details

snitchLakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album for the action thriller Snitch. The album features the film’s original score composed by Antonio Pinto (City of God, Lord of War, Senna). The soundtrack will released digitally on February 19, 2013 and physically on March 5 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Check out audio clips after the jump. Snitch is directed by Ric Roman Waugh and stars Dwayne Johnson as a father who is forced to become an informant for the DEA to reduce his falsely accused son’s 10-year jail sentence. spiritof45George Fenton has reunited with director Ken Loach to score his upcoming feature-length documentary The Spirit of ’45 about a new socialism that emerged in the U.K. as World War II came to an end in 1945. The British director used footage from Britain’s regional and national archives, alongside sound recordings and contemporary interviews, to create a political and social narrative about the years following the second world war. The Fly Film Co. and Sixteen Films production is produced by Kate Ogborn (The Deep Blue Sea), Lisa Marie Russo (Of Time and the City) and Rebecca O’Brien (The Wind That Shakes the Barley). ‘I Give It a Year’ Soundtrack Details

i-give-it-a-yearIsland Records will release a soundtrack album for the upcoming romantic comedy I Give It a Year. The album features the songs from the film by artists including Jessie Ware, Tinie Tempah, Corinne Bailey-Rae, Snow Patrol, Zero 7, Dizzee Rascal and Lauren Pritchard. None of the movie’s original score composed by Ilan Eshkeri is included on the release. The soundtrack will be released on February 4, 2013 in the UK. Audio clips are available after the jump. No word yet on a domestic release. I Give It a Year marks the directorial debut of writer/producer Dan Mazer (Borat, The Dictator, Bruno) and stars Rose Byrne, Anna Faris, Simon Baker, Rafe Spall, Minnie Driver and Jason Flemyng. Three new movies are opening in wide release this weekend:

mamaExpected to top the weekend box office is the supernatural thriller Mama directed by Andy Muschietti and starring Jessica Chastain, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Megan Charpentier and Isabelle Nellsse. The film’s music is composed by Fernando Velazquez (The Impossible, Devil). Quartet Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score earlier this week. The film’s music is composed by Atticus Ross (The Social Network, The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo), Claudia Sarne and Leopold Ross who have previously scored The Book of Eli for Allen Hughes and his brother. Metropolis Music Group has released a soundtrack album featuring the movie’s score. a-good-day-to-die-hardThe details for the soundtrack album for the upcoming action sequel A Good Day to Die Hard have been revealed. The album features the film’s original music composed by Marco Beltrami (3:10 to Yuma, Scream) who scored his second film for the franchise following 2007’s Live Free or Die Hard. The soundtrack is scheduled to be released on February 19, 2013 by Sony Classical and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Cinema Musica and Sony Music has also just published a “first listen” of the soundtrack, including two full tracks (available here), as well as audio clips from all the other tracks on the album, which can be checked out after the jump. A Good Day to Die Hard is directed by John Moore (Flight of the Phoenix, The Omen) and stars Bruce Willis & Jai Courtney and follows John McClane as he finds himself on foreign soil after traveling to Moscow to help his wayward son Jack. sundanceCarlo Siliotto has composed the score for the indie drama May in the Summer. The film is written and directed by Cherien Dabis (Amreeka) and stars herself, alongside Hiam Abbass, Bill Pullman, Alia Shawkat, Nadine Malouf, Alexander Siddig and Ritu Singh Pande. The movie follows a bride-to-be who is forced to reevaluate her life when she reunites with her family in Jordan and finds herself confronted with the aftermath of her parents’ divorce. Dabis is also producing the project with Alix Madigan-Yorkin (Winter’s BoneCleaner) and Chris Tricarico. Siliotto’s previous film scoring credits include The Punisher, Under the Same Moon, Fluke and Nomad: The Warrior, for which he received a Golden Globe nomination. May in the Summer just premiered in competition at the Sundance Film Festival. No distribution deal has been announced yet.

‘Phantom’ Soundtrack Details

The album features the film’s original score composed by Jeff Rona (White Squall, Chicago Hope), as well as the original song An Ocean Away performed by Rachel Fannan. The soundtrack will be released on February 26, 2013 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Phantom is written and directed by Todd Robinson (Lonely Hearts) and stars Ed Harris, David Duchovny, William Fichtner, Sean Patrick Flanery and Lance Henriksen. The movie about a Captain of a Soviet submarine who has to leave his pregnant wife for a secret mission on which he is forced to face his past in order to find redemption in the present while being challenged by a rogue KGB group.
