The movie follows seven college friends who reunite one long weekend after one of their own attempts suicide. Zwick has also written the screenplay and Adam Saunders (Family Weekend) is producing the Footprint Features production. ‘Grand Piano’ Soundtrack Released

imageMovieScore Media and Kronos Records have released a soundtrack album for the psychological thriller Grand Piano. The album features the film’s original music composed by Victor Reyes (Buried, Red Lights). The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon. A CD version is set to be released on March 25, 2014. Audio clips are embedded after the jump. Grand Piano is directed by Eugenio Mira and stars Elijah Wood, John Cusack, Tamsin Egerton, Kerry Bishe, Alex Winter, Don McManus and Allen Leech. The thriller follows a piano virtuoso who returns to perform after being forced into early retirement because of stage fright. imageThe details of the score album for the film adaptation of the young adult novel Divergent have been revealed. The soundtrack features the film’s original score composed by Junkie XL (300: Rise of an Empire, Paranoia) and executive produced by Hans Zimmer. Ellie Goulding is featured as a vocalist on the score. The album will be released digitally on March 18, 2014  and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. A physical release will be coming out on April 15 and is available to order by clicking here. Check back on this page for audio clips. Two new movies are opening wide this weekend:

300-rise-of-an-empireExpected to top the weekend box office is the action adventure epic 300: Rise of an Empire directed by Noam Murro and starring Sullivan Stapleton, Rodrigo Santoro, Eva Green, Callan Mulvey, Jack O’Connell and Lena Headey. The film’s original music is compowed by Junkie XL (Divergent, Paranoia). WaterTower Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score earlier this week. mr-peabody-and-shermanAlso opening wide is DreamWorks Animation’s Mr. Peabody & Sherman directed by Rob Minkoff and featuring the voice talent of Ty Burrell, Max Charles, Leslie Mann, Stanley Tucci, Allison Janney, Ariel Winter, Stephen Colbert, Patrick Warburton, Mel Brooks, Lake Bell, Zach Callison and Dennis Haysbert. Danny Elfman (Spider-Man, Batman, Men in Black) has composed the film’s original music. Relativity Music Group has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score, as well as John Lennon’s Beautiful Boy and the original song Way Back When by Grizfolk. The movie, which was previously entitled Animal Rescue, marks the English language feature debut of director Michael R. Roskam (Bullhead) and stars Tom Hardy, Noomi Rapace, Matthias Schoenaerts, James Gandolfini and John Ortiz. The film follows a lonely Boston bartender who rescues a puppy from a garbage can and becomes the target of the dog’s abusive and mentally unstable former owner. Dennis Lehane has written the screenplay based on his own short story (Mystic River, Shutter Island). ennio-morriconeEnnio Morricone is set to reunite with director Giuseppe Tornatore on the director’s upcoming romantic drama The Correspondence. The movie centers on the love affair between a professor and a younger woman working in the same field. No casting deals have been announced yet, but a well-known male actor is reportedly in talks for the leading role. Arturo Paglia and Isabella Cocuzza (The Best Offer) are producing the Paco Cinematografica and Warner Bros Italy production. The film is directed by Ryan Murphy (Glee, Nip/Tuck, Eat Pray Love) and stars Mark Ruffalo, Taylor Kitsch, Matt Bomer, Julia Roberts, Jim Parsons, Jonathan Groff, Alfred Molina, Joe Mantello, Denis O’Hare, Stephen Spinella and Corey Stoll. The movie is based on the Tony-winning play by Larry Kramer (Women in Love) and tells the story of the onset of the HIV-AIDS crisis in New York City in the early 1980s. Kramer has also written the screenplay and Murphy is executive producing the project with Jason Blum (Paranormal Activity, Insidious), Dede Gardner (12 Years a Slave, World War Z) and Dante Di Loreto (American Horror Story, Glee). The film marks the feature directorial debut of Michael Johnson and stars Kodi Smit-McPhee, Virginia Madsen, Isabelle Fuhrman, Evan Ross and Danny DeVito. The movie follows a boy dealing with the absence of his father who begins to explore the wilderness of an intoxicating city. Through an infatuating girl and a charismatic stranger, he starts to open his eyes as he’s forced to deal with some hard truths. Johnson has also written the screenplay. Jonathan Schwartz (Like Crazy, Smashed) and Andrea Sperlig (Harsh Times) are producing the project for Super Crispy Enterainment.
