Dragon’s Domain Records has announced the world premiere soundtrack release for the 1981 television movie The Girl, the Gold Watch & Dynamite directed by Hy Averback, written by George Zateslo, based on the 1952 novel by John D. MacDonald and starring Philip MacHale, Lee Purcell, Burton Gilliam, Zohra Lampert and Morgan Fairchild. The album features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award nominee and Emmy Award winner Bruce Broughton (Silverado, Homeward Bound, Tombstone,Rescuers Down Under, Young Sherlock Holmes, The Miracle on 42nd Street, Lost in Space ). Reprise Records will release the official soundtrack album for the coming-of-age comedy Nimrods. The album features 22 Green Day hits, as well as the band’s original track I’m Never Gonna R.I.P (which is already out now as a digital single and can also be checked out below), four unreleased live songs the band recorded at the Palladium in Los Angeles featured in the movie, as well as songs by Paradox, Ultra Q and Mckenna Grace and four tracks from Analog Dogs, the fictitious band the film centers around. The soundtrack will be released digitally and physically (on CD, vinyl and audio cassette) on July 31 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon.
