Varèse Sarabande and Craft Recordings have announced a new anniversary reissue of the score album for the 1996 slasher classic Scream directed by Wes Craven and starring Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox, David Arquette, Matthew Lillard, Skeet Ulrich, Rose McGowan & Drew Barrymore. The original 14-track album featuring music by Academy Award nominee Marco Beltrami (A Quiet Place, Logan, 3:10 to Yuma, Hellboy, Ford v. Ferrarie) will be released on vinyl in a collectible “blood-soaked” sleeve featuring an iconic image of Barrymore as Casey Becker in the film’s opening scene on August 28. In addition to the wide Woodsboro Bloodbath red vinyl (now available for pre-order on Amazon), a variety of limited-edition exclusive pressings, including a Knife’s Edge silver vinyl with poster (Target), I’ll Be Right Backblue vinyl (Urban Outfitters), Surprise Sidney metallic blend vinyl (Barnes & Noble), Final Girl splatter vinyl (Hot Topic), Don’t Hang Up clear vinyl (Books-A-Million), Wrong Answer Blood Red Splatter vinyl (Varèse Sarabande/Craft Recordings), and Final Phone Call blue vinyl at select indie retailers, will also be available. In addition, an “Extended Cut Edition” of the Scream score album featuring all 40 of the film’s cues from the 2022 Scream box set, will be released on CD on the same day and is now available for pre-order on Amazon.
