Three new movies are opening nationwide this weekend:

jason-bourneExpected to top the weekend box office is the action thriller Jason Bourne directed by Paul Greengrass and starring Matt Damon, Julia Stiles, Alicia Vikander, Vincent Cassel and Tommy Lee Jones. The film’s original music is composed by John Powell (How to Train Your Dragon, Happy Feet) who previously scored the first original three films in the series and David Buckley (The Good Wife, The Nice Guys, The Forbidden Kingdom). Back Lot Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composers’ score. Check out our soundtrack announcement for the full album details.

bad-momsAlso opening wide is the comedy Bad Moms written and directed by Jon Lucas & Scott Moore and starring Mila Kunis, Kristen Bell, Kathryn Hahn, Jay Hernandez, Clark Duke, Annie Mumolo, Jada Pinkett Smith and Christina Applegate. Christopher Lennertz (Horrible Bosses, Ride Along) has composed the film’s original music and collaborated with singer/songwriter KT Tunstall on his score. Sony Masterworks has released a soundtrack album featuring three tracks from the composer’s score, as well as songs by Janelle Monáe, Demi Lovato, Foreigner, Icona Pop feat. ‘Richard Linklater: Dream Is Destiny’ Soundtrack Details

The album features the film’s original music composed by Graham Reynolds who has scored such Linklater-helmed movies as Bernie, Before Midnight and A Scanner Darkly. The soundtrack will be released digitally on August 5, 2016 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Richard Linklater: Dream Is Destiny is directed by Louis Black & Karen Bernstein and traces Linklater’s life and work – from Slacker to his latest comedy Everybody Wants Some!! – shedding light on how a creative visionary carved out a one-of-a-kind career unbeholden to the Hollywood machine. Christopher Lennertz to Score Seth Gordon’s ‘Baywatch’

baywatchChristopher Lennertz is officially set to compose the original score for the upcoming action comedy Baywatch. The film is directed by Seth Gordon (The King of Kong: A Fistful of Quarters, Four Christmases) and stars Dwayne Johnson, Zac Efron, Alexandra Daddario, Priyanka Chopra, Kelly Rohrbach, Ilfenesh Hadera, Jon Bass, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, David Hasselhoff and Pamela Anderson. The movie is based on the hit TV series, which premiered in 1989 and follows two unlikely prospective lifeguards who vie for jobs alongside the buff bodies who patrol a beach in California. Music from MTV’s ‘Scream’ Season 2 Released

The album features a selection of songs from the second season of the show by artists including Bishop Briggs, Mike Posner, That Poppy, Midnight to Monaco, Astrid Palmer, Keke Palmer & more. The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also listen to audio samples. Columbia Records has previously released a soundtrack featuring music from the series’ first season. Scream based on Wes Craven’s movie franchise stars Willa Fitzgerald, Bex Taylor-Klaus, John Karna, Amadeus Serafini, Carlson Young, Kiana Ledé, Santiago Segura and Tracy Middendorf. ‘Tallulah’ Soundtrack Details

tallulahThe details of the soundtrack album for the indie drama Tallulah have been revealed. The album features the film’s original music composed by Michael Brook (Brooklyn, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, Into the Wild, The Fighter, The Vow). Also included are the songs I’m Gone Mama by Jim Murphy & The Accents, No Trespassing Blues by Jesus Sons and Baby Where You Are by Ted Lucas. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, July 29 by Varese Sarabande and is now available for pre-order on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. Tallulah is written and directed by Sian Heder and stars Ellen Page, Allison Janney, Tammy Blanchard, Evan Jonigkeit and Uzo Aduba. Howe Records to Release Howard Shore’s ‘Se7en’ and ‘Denial’ Scores

sevenHowe Records will release the world premiere score release for David Fincher’s 1995 thriller Se7en starring Brad Pitt, Morgan Freeman, Gwyneth Paltrow, John C. McGinley, R. Lee Ermey and Kevin Spacey. The album features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award winner Howard Shore (The Lord of the Rings, The Aviator, The Silence of the Lambs, Hugo, The Hobbit). The soundtrack will be released on September 16, 2016 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. TVT Records has previously released the 1995 original soundtrack featuring the songs from the movie, as well as two tracks from Shore’s score. Adrian Belew’s Soundtrack for Pixar’s ‘Piper’ to Be Released

piperWalt Disney Records will release the original music for Pixar’s animated short Piper. The film’s score is composed by Adrian Belew who is best known as the guitarist and vocalist of the progressive rock band King Crimson. Jake Monaco (Let’s Be Cops, Absolutely Fabulous: The Movie) has arranged and orchestrated the music. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow and will be available to download on Amazon. Piper is directed by Alan Barillaro and follows a beach-dwelling bird who encounters a small hermit crab who teaches her the way of the waves. The short is currently playing in theaters nationwide in front of Pixar’s Finding Dory.

The film is directed by David Leveaux and stars Lily James, Jai Courtney, Christopher Plummer, Janet McTeer, Eddie Marsan and Ben Daniels. The movie follows a German soldier who tries to determine if the Dutch resistance has planted a spy to infiltrate the home of Kaiser Wilhelm in Holland during the onset of World War II, but falls for a young Jewish Dutch woman during his investigation. smokey-robinsonNetflix has announced today that singer/songwriter Smokey Robinson will serve as the executive music producer on an upcoming, currently untitled Netflix animated series. The show created by Josh Wakely (Beat Bugs) is set in the imaginary city of Motown, based on Detroit and its rich musical heritage, and revolves around a lovable, funny and slightly shy eight year old boy who discovers he has the extraordinary ability to bring street-art to life. The series will feature contemporary artists performing hit songs from the Motown catalog by artists including Robinson, Marvin Gaye, The Jackson 5, Lionel Richie, The Supremes, The Temptations, Stevie Wonder & more.
