Ryeland Allison is composing the score for the new Netflix original series The Ranch. The show is created by Don Reo & Jim Patterson (Two and a Half Men) and stars Ashton Kutcher, Sam Elliott, Danny Masterson, Debra Winger and Elisha Cuthbert. The comedy follows a Colorado rancher who returns home after a brief and failed semi-pro football career to run the family ranching business with his older brother and father, whom he hasn’t seen in 15 years. Cliff Martinez is set to compose the music for the upcoming action thriller The Foreigner. The film is directed by Martin Campbell (Casino Royale, GoldenEye, The Mask of Zorro) and stars Pierce Brosnan and Jackie Chan. The movie follows a restaurant owner in London’s Chinatown who is tracking down a group of Irish terrorists responsible for the death of his daughter. David Marconi (Enemy of the State) and Peter Buchman (Che, Jurassic Park III) have written the screenplay based on Stephen Leather’s novel The Chinaman. ‘The Visitors: Bastille Day’ Soundtrack Announced

Milan Records will release a soundtrack album for the French comedy sequel The Visitors: Bastille Day (Les Visiteurs: La Révolution). The album features the film’s original music composed by Eric Levi who previously scored the first two installments in the series. The soundtrack will be released digitally on April 1, 2016 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. A CD version is set to come out in France on April 15, 2016. Marco Beltrami has been tapped score the upcoming thriller The Shallows. The film is directed by Jaume Collet-Serra (Unknown, Non-Stop, Run All Night, Orphan) and stars Blake Lively and Oscar Jaenada. The movie follows a young woman who is grieving the loss her mother and surfing in an isolated area when she gets stranded on a buoy and a gigantic great white shark comes between her and the shore. Three new movies are opening nationwide this week:
Opening in most theaters is the sci-fi adventure The Divergent Series: Allegiant directed by Robert Schwentke and starring Shailene Woodley, Theo James, Octavia Spencer, Naomi Watts, Jeff Daniels, Ray Stevenson, Zoë Kravitz, Miles Teller, Ansel Elgort and Maggie Q. The film’s original music is composed by Joseph Trapanese (Oblivion, Straight Outta Compton) who previously scored last year’s Insurgent. Island Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score, as well as the original end credits song Scars by Tove Lo. Check out our previous article for the full album details.
Already in theaters since this past Wednesday is the drama Miracles From Heaven directed by Patricia Riggen and starring Jennifer Garner, Queen Latifah, Martin Henderson, John Carroll Lynch, Kylie Rogers and Eugenio Derbez. Carlo Siliotto (The Punisher, Fluke, Nomad: The Warrior) who previously collaborated with the director on Under the Same Moon has composed the film’s original music. Madison Gate Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score.
