The only movie opening nationwide this weekend is the action adventure Kong: Skull Island directed by Jordan Vogt-Roberts and starring Tom Hiddleston, Samuel L. Jackson, Brie Larson, John Goodman and John C. Reilly. The film’s original music is composed by Henry Jackman (Captain America: The Winter Soldier & Civil War, X-Men: First Class, Big Hero 6). Opening in limited release is the French horror thriller Raw written and directed by Julia Ducournau and starring Garance Marillier, Ella Rumpf and Rabah Nait Oufella. Jim Williams (Sightseers, Kill List, A Field in England) has composed the film’s original music. Back Lot Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score.
