The full details of the soundtrack album for Robert Zemeckis’ romantic thriller Allied have been revealed. The album features the film’s original music composed and conducted by Academy Award nominee Alan Silvestri (Back to the Future, Forrest Gump, Cast Away, The Avengers, Captain America: The First Avenger). Also included are five swing classics as featured in the movie by Benny Goodman, Louis Primas & more. Intrada Records has announced a new soundtrack album for Warren Beatty’s 1990 action comedy Dick Tracy based on the 1930s comic strip character and starring Beatty, Madonna, Al Pacino, Dustin Hoffman and James Caan. The album features the film’s original score composed by Danny Elfman (Spider-Man, Alice in Wonderland, Batman, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Men in Black), including over 90 minutes of previously unreleased music. The 2-CD set features the content of the original 1990 score album, as well as additional score cues, including alternates and cues not used in the film. Chris Bacon has been hired to score Jonathan Levine’s untitled Mother/Daughter comedy. The film directed by Levine (50/50, Warm Bodies, The Night Before) stars Amy Schumer, Goldie Hawn, Christopher Meloni, Ike Barinholtz, Oscar Jaenada and Wanda Sykes. No plot details have been revealed yet. Katie Dippold (Ghostbusters, The Heat) has written the screenplay with Schumer and Kim Caramele (Inside Amy Schumer). Peter Chernin (Rise/Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, Oblivion) and Jenno Topping (Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, St. Vincent) are producing the project with Paul Feig (Bridesmaids) and Jessie Henderson (Spy). The show’s original music is composed by Nick Cave & Warren Ellis (The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford, Lawless, Hell or High Water). Director Rupert Sanders (Snow White and the Huntsman) revealed at a media event in Tokyo this weekend that Clint Mansell is scoring the upcoming film adaptation of Ghost in the Shell. The film is based on the Japanese manga of the same title created by Masamune Shirow and stars Scarlett Johansson, Pilou Asbæk, Takeshi Kitano, Juliette Binoche and Michael Pitt. The movie follows Major, a special ops, one-of-a-kind human-cyborg hybrid, who leads the elite task force Section 9, which is devoted to stopping the most dangerous criminals and extremists and faced with an enemy whose singular goal is to wipe out Hanka Robotic’s advancements in cyber technology. Anne Nikitin has composed the music for the new Netflix original series Captive. The docu-series is executive produced by Doug Liman (The Bourne Identity, Edge of Tomorrow, Go, Mr. & Mrs. Smith) and Simon Chinn (Man on Wire, Searching for Sugar Man) and focuses on the challenging negotiations involved in resolving hostage situations. The episodes look at the situations from the viewpoint of everyone involved: the victims and their families back home, the negotiators, government officials, business leaders, and the kidnappers.
