Colin Stetson (The Menu, Hereditary, Something Very Bad Is Going to Happen, The First, Uzumaki, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Color Out of Space, Hold Your Breath) has recently scored the upcoming Netflix original film The Whisper Man. The film is directed by James Ashcroft (The Rule of Jenny Pen) and stars Robert De Niro, Michelle Monaghan, Adam Scott, Owen Teague, Hamish Linklater, Acston Porto and Will Brill. The thriller based on the bestselling novel of the same title by Alex North follows a widower whose young son vanishes and enlists help from his estranged father, a retired detective who put away the serial killer now linked to the case. Ben Jacoby (Bleed) & Chase Palmer (It, Naked Singularity) wrote the screenplay. Anthony & Joe Russo (Avengers: End Game, Captain America: Civil War) are producing the AGBO Films production with Angela Russo-Otsot (Extraction II, Citadel), Michael Disco (The Flash, The Bluff) and Kassee Whiting (All Fun and Games). The Whisper Man will premiere on August 28, 2026 exclusively on Netflix.
