shooterPremiering on Tuesday, November 15, is the USA original series Shooter based on the novel Point of Impact by Stephen Hunter and starring Ryan Phillippe, Omar Epps, Cynthia Addai-Robinson, Shantel VanSanten and Eddie McClintock. ghost-in-the-shellDirector Rupert Sanders (Snow White and the Huntsman) revealed at a media event in Tokyo this weekend that Clint Mansell is scoring the upcoming film adaptation of Ghost in the Shell. The film is based on the Japanese manga of the same title created by Masamune Shirow and stars Scarlett Johansson, Pilou Asbæk, Takeshi Kitano, Juliette Binoche and Michael Pitt. The movie follows Major, a special ops, one-of-a-kind human-cyborg hybrid, who leads the elite task force Section 9, which is devoted to stopping the most dangerous criminals and extremists and faced with an enemy whose singular goal is to wipe out Hanka Robotic’s advancements in cyber technology. Please Like Me is created by Josh Thomas who also stars in the series alongside Thomas Ward, Caitlin Stasey, Emily Barclay, Debra Lawrance, Hannah Gadsby, Keegan Joyce, David Roberts and Renee Lim. The docu-series is executive produced by Doug Liman (The Bourne IdentityEdge of TomorrowGoMr. & Mrs. Smith) and Simon Chinn (Man on Wire, Searching for Sugar Man) and focuses on the challenging negotiations involved in resolving hostage situations. The episodes look at the situations from the viewpoint of everyone involved: the victims and their families back home, the negotiators, government officials, business leaders, and the kidnappers.
