Varese Sarabande has announced a soundtrack album for the war drama USS Indianapolis: Men of Courage. The album features the film’s original music composed and conducted by Laurent Eyquem (Copperhead, Winnie Mandela, Rage, Momentum). The soundtrack, which is limited to 1000 copies, is now available to order on the label’s official website, where you can also listen to audio samples. USS Indianapolis: Men of Courage is directed by Mario Van Peebles and stars Nicolas Cage, Tom Sizemore, Thomas Jane, James Remar, Matt Lanter, Brian Presley, Cody Walker, Yutaka Takeuchi, Adam Scott Miller, Craig Tate and Johnny Wactor.

Three new movies are opening nationwide this weekend:
Opening in most theaters is the sci-fi drama Arrival directed by Denis Villeneuve and starring Amy Adams, Jeremy Renner and Forest Whitaker. The film’s original music is composed by Johann Johannsson (The Theory of Everything, Sicario, Prisoners). Deutsche Grammophon has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score. Also opening wide is the comedy Almost Christmas directed by David E. Talbert and starring Kimberly Elise, Danny Glover, John Michael Higgins, Romany Malco, Mo’Nique, JB Smoove, Gabrielle Union, Omar Epps, Nicole Ari Parker and Jessie T. Usher. John Paesano (The Maze Runner, Daredevil, When the Game Stands Tall) has composed the film’s original score. Back Lot Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score, as well as the songs from the movie by Four Top, Robin Thicke, Karl Bynes, Etta James, The Commodores & more. Laurent Eyquem to Score John McTiernan’s ‘Red Squad’
Laurent Eyquem is set to score the upcoming thriller Red Squad. John McTiernan will be directing the film, which follows a former DEA agent with a rogue streak and his select team of mercenaries who descend upon a Mexican border town to neutralize a drug lord. The movie’s cast is expected to be announced soon. Rionda Del Castro is producing the Hannibal Classics production with Michael Mendelsohn. Eyquem has previously scored the production company’s thriller Tokarev starring Nicolas Cage. McTiernan has previously collaborated with composers including Michael Kamen (Die Hard), Alan Silvestri (Predator), Jerry Goldsmith (The 13th Warrior), Basil Poledouris (The Hunt for Red October), Bill Conti (The Thomas Crown Affair) and Klaus Badelt (Basic).
