Ryan Miller is composing the original music for the upcoming indie comedy Mr. Roosevelt. The film is written and directed by comedian Noël Wells who also stars in the movie, alongside Nick Thune, Britt Lower, Daniella Pineda, Andre Hyland, Doug Benson, Armen Weitzman and Sergio Cilli. The movie revolves around a struggling comedian who returns to her college town of Austin, Texas and must come to terms with her past while staying with her ex-boyfriend and his new girlfriend. Lakeshore Records to Release ‘Logan’ & ‘Ghost in the Shell’ Soundtracks

Lakeshore Records will release the official soundtrack album for the comic book movie Logan directed by James Mangold and starring Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart, Richard E. Grant, Boyd Holbrook, Stephen Merchant and Dafne Keen. The album features the film’s original music composed by Marco Beltrami (Scream, World War Z) who previously scored Mangold’s The Wolverine and 3:10 to Yuma. The soundtrack will be released in early March. Visit Amazon to pre-order the CD version. The label will also release the soundtrack for the sci-fi adventure Ghost in the Shell directed by Rupert Sanders and starring Scarlett Johansson, Pilou Asbaek, Takeshi Kitano, Juliette Binoche and Michael Pitt. Fil Eisler has signed on to score the upcoming comedy Life of the Party. The film is directed by Ben Falcone (Tammy, The Boss) and stars Melissa McCarthy, Julie Bowen, Maya Rudolph, Gillian Jacobs, Jacki Weaver, Debby Ryan, Luke Benward and Matt Walsh. No plot details have been announced yet. McCarthy and Falcone also co-wrote the screenplay and are producing the New Line Cinema production with Chris Henchy (Daddy’s Home, Get Hard). The team behind the sound mixing of Damien Chazelle’s La La Land has won the award for Outstanding Achievement in Sound Mixing in the Motion Pictures– Live Action category at tonight’s 53rd annual Cinema Audio Society Awards ceremony at the Bunker Hill Ballroom of the OMNI Los Angeles Hotel at California Plaza. Scoring mixer Nicholai Baxter, along with production mixer Steven Morrow, re-recording mixers Andy Nelson & Ai-Ling Lee and ADR mixer David Betancourt received the award for the drama starring Emma Stone & Ryan Gosling and scored by Justin Hurwitz.
