Marco Beltrami is composing the music for the upcoming National Geographic documentary Free Solo. The film is directed by Jimmy Chin & Elizabeth Chai Vasarhelyi (Meru) and revolves around rock climber Alex Honnold as he is training on Freerider for the first ever rope-free climb of El Capitan in Yosemite National Park. Chin & Chai Vasarhelyi are also producing the project with Evan Hayes, Walter Parkes & Laurie MacDonald (Men in Black, The Ring, Flight) and Shannon Dill.

Nate Walcott and Mike Mogis are reteaming with director Josh Boone on the upcoming superhero horror movie The New Mutants. The film starring Anya Taylor-Joy, Maisie Williams, Charlie Heaton, Henry Zaga, Blu Hunt and Alice Braga is based on the X-Men spin-off comic book series of the same title created by Chris Claremont & Bob McLeod and revolves around five young mutants, just discovering their abilities while held in a secret facility against their will, who fight to escape their past sins and save themselves. Boone also wrote the screenplay with Knate Lee (Kidnap).
