Lakeshore Records has released a soundtrack album for the dystopian thriller The School Duel. The album features the film’s original music composed by Trevor Gureckis (Old, Servant, The Goldfinch, The Friend, The Crowded Room, Voyagers, Dead Space, Bloodline). The School Duel is written and directed by Todd Wiseman Jr. and stars Kue Lawrence, Christina Brucato, Oscar Nuñez, Eugenie Bondurant, Clayton Royal Johnson, Thomas Philip O’Neill, Kelsey Darragh, Jim Kaplan and Jamad Mays. The movie is set in near-future Florida and revolves around a tormented 13 year old who is recruited to participate in the titular deadly, statewide competition that is the government’s solution to curbing school shootings in the wake of gun control being abolished.. The drama premiered at the 2024 Deauville American Film Festival and is being released in New York this weekend by Altered Innocence before expanding to more markets in the coming weeks.
