Enjoy the Ride Records has announced a new soundtrack album for the 1994 sports comedy sequel Major League II directed by David S. Ward and starring Charlie Sheen, Tom Berenger, Corbin Bernsen, Dennis Haysbert, Omar Epps, James Gammon, Eric Bruskotter, Takaaki Ishibashi and David Keith. The soundtrack is being released as a limited edition vinyl (in three different variants) and features the songs from the film by artists such as Stevie Ray Vaughan, Lyle Lovett, X, Albert King, Maurice John Vaughn, Jimmie Vaughan & Double Trouble, as well world premiere release of the movie’s original score composed by Michel Colombier (The Golden Child, Against All Odds, The Money Pit, Purple Rain, Asterix and the Big Fight). Expanded and Remastered ‘Asterix and the Big Fight’ Soundtrack Album Announced
Music Box Records has announced a new soundtrack album for the 1989 animated feature Asterix and the Big Fight (Astérix et le Coup du Menhir) directed by Philippe Grimond and produced by Yannick Piel. The album features the expanded and remastered original score from the film composed and conducted by Michel Colombier (The Golden Child, The Money Pit, Against All Odds, Purple Rain), including previously unreleased music and alternate cues. The CD, which is limited to 500 copies, is now available to order on the label’s official website, where you can also check out the track list and listen to audio samples.
Thomas Newman’s ‘The Man with One Red Shoe’ Score Released
La-La Land Records has announced the world premiere soundtrack release for the 1985 mystery comedy The Man with One Red Shoe directed by Stan Dragoti and starring Tom Hanks, Lori Singer and Charlies Durning. The album features the original music from the 20th Century Fox production composed by Academy Award nominee Thomas Newman (American Beauty, Skyfall, The Shawshank Redemption, Finding Nemo, Wall-E). New ‘The Golden Child’ Soundtrack Set released
La-La Land Records has released a new soundtrack edition for the 1986 action adventure film The Golden Child. The 3 CD set includes both John Barry’s unused score and Michel Colombier’s score from the Paramount Pictures-produced movie. The soundtrack set marks the premiere release of Barry’s unused score. Also included are Barry’s unused song Dance A Little Closer performed by Randy Edelman, as well as the composer’s song Best Man in the World performed by Ann Wilson.
