Hildur Gudnadottir has been tapped to score the upcoming HBO and Sky mini-series Chernobyl. The show is created by Craig Mazin (The Hangover: Part II & III), directed by Johan Renck (Downloading Nancy) and stars Jared Harris, Stellan Skarsgard and Emily Watson. The 5-part drama centers on the 1986 nuclear disaster that triggered the evacuation of a Ukranian city from the perspectives of Valery Legasov, the Soviet scientist chosen by the Kremlin to investigate the accident and Boris Shcherbina, the man responsible for leading the USSR government commission in the wake of the disaster. Daniel Hart is composing the music for the upcoming CBS All Access original series Strange Angel. The show is created by Mark Heyman (Black SwanThe Skeleton Twins) based on George Pendle’s book of the same name and stars Jack Reynor, Rupert Friend, Bella Heathcote, Michael Gaston and Greg Wise. The drama follows the life of a mysterious and brilliant man in 1940s Los Angeles, who by day helps birth the entirely unknown discipline of American rocketry, and by night is a performer of sex magick rituals. Nick Cave and Warren Ellis are scoring the upcoming HBO & Sky docu-series The Case Against Adnan. The show is directed by Academy Award nominee Amy Berg (Deliver Us from Evil) and explores the 1999 disappearance and murder of 18-year-old Baltimore County high school student Hae Min Lee, and the subsequent conviction of her ex-boyfriend, Adnan Syed. Henrietta Conrad and Jemima Khan are executive producing the project for INSTINCT Productions, alongside Eric Fellner & Tim Bevan (Atonement, Love Actually) and Andrew Stearn (Shameless, Gypsy) for Working Title TV. The show is developed by Anna Symon (Indian Summers) and stars Ruth Wilson, Iain Glenn, Keely Hawes, Anupam Kher and Fiona Shaw. The 3-part drama directed by Richard Laxton is set in 1940s and 1960s London and 1930s India and follows Alison Wilson, who thinks she is happily married until her husband dies and a woman turns up on the doorstep claiming that she is the real Mrs. Wilson.
